R: I don't have to work till later today, so I'm in bed, enjoying my coffee, letting DH make the kids breakfast. R: my Dr gave me a nerve block yesterday. Sweet mother of pearl! Hurt way more than I was expecting. Hopefully it works. R: I dropped in to see an old friend at her work yesterday, and brought her flowers. It was so awesome to see her. I love surprising people.
R: my 4 year old managed to get into my phone, find the Amazon app which is hidden in a folder and order himself a Star Wars Lego. I found out when he was checking the front door to see if his package had arrived yet. At least he didn't order the discontinued one that he put in the shopping cart for over a thousand dollars. I erased my Amazon app. V: baby was up for the day at 5:18am. First nap completed by 9am. Im tired. Aw: DH is finally home. We should have a pretty relaxing weekend.
Random confession: I just finished cleaning and decluttering the entire house since someone is coming in a couple hours to take pics for our house sale (with the exception of DS' bookshelf and toy organizer in the living room, which I will move up to his room at the very last minute). The confession part is that our house has not been this clean in the 2.5 years that we've lived here. It kind of makes me wish we were having company over or something.
R/AW: my child that hates writing has spent the last hour copying names of everyone she knows. And the Paw Patrol characters. And she says it's so fun. Who is this kid?
R: DS2 has a little friend from school who calls him all the time. She called last night and asked him what she should wear to school today. I think I might be in some trouble with that one.
R: it was so nice getting back to normal and sending the kids to school this morning.
R: DS1 finally got his new glasses. They are adorable but they make me think of Steve Urkel.
gastro, hilarious that he was checking the door for his package!
V: potty training. See my post. R: great weather again for playing outside! V: in the 10 seconds I tried to open the box of DD2's new balance bike, DD3 somehow got a small bottle of bubbles, opened and spilled them, and may have put the wand in her mouth/ingested some. Seriously, 10 seconds. I Googled and seems like it should be fine. Ugh. R: Had a nice morning playing with the 2 girls while DD1 and DS were at school. And now, DD1 will be home from school soon for the weekend. Whoo-hoo!
We are 85% sure we are NOT going, but STILL never really decided for sure for sure!!!! Meanwhile, I kind of want to decide for SURE so that I can either plan activities here, or start buying sandals and getting their summer clothes ready for the trip.
How many hours did you do in the car today?
My parents are hosting Easter and really want us to stay here, which is making it harder for me. I'm more torn now b/c of that. If not for that, I might be really trying to talk DH into going to FL. I still go back and forth. DD came home yesterday with her first grade journal entry about how she would like to go to Florida someday, so then we felt guilty for NOT going. DH's brother and his family are in FL now so we are watching their trip, too, and seeing how things do down there. They flew, though. Just two kids.

I wish there were a teacher board here. I know there are lots of teachers, on other boards, too. My school only has 1 class per grade level and I didn't realize how much it sucks to not have other grade level teachers to talk to.
R: Dd is obsessed with the Easter bunny. I hope she will actually go up to him this year. She has been talking about him non stop.

Back in the day, I use to post on AtoZ teacher stuff boards. I don't know how active it is anymore though. Or post here! We would help you out
R: we had our first bonfire of the year last night! It was so much fun to see the girls eat sticky marshmallows! V: drama is back with my bro and I'm not impressed. I won't go into the backstory but it's thick and this time around its all on him/sil. Dnw to deal with it.

Edmodo also has teacher networking in addition to being an LMS. People share files and ask for ideas or feedback. Maybe check that out.
Random: DD was home "sick" yesterday. I mean, she had a 102 degree fever but was bouncing around as happy as could be. We played for hours and hours. We played school. We played dolls. We played 7 games of Monopoly Jr. She wrote cards for all of her friends and we colored together. We played Barbies. I think we played more yesterday than we have all year combined. Usually I hate it and would be looking for an excuse to go do something else but I just put my phone down yesterday and decided to be in the moment. She will start K in August and we will have very little time together after that. I'm going to try to just enjoy the time I have left even if it means doing stuff I don't want to. I'm getting kind of sad about full time school next year.

AW: It's my birthday! Yee haw, I'm old as dirt! And I'm shocked that DH actually got me what I asked for, because I know he was not happy about the idea of having a fourth "sewing machine" in the house.
R: We took the kids to the Lowe's Build and Grow workshop today for the first time. It was fun! It's kind of amazing that they offer that for free. The kids are really enjoying playing with the monster trucks they (well, we) built.
V: Actually, for the first time in a while, I have no vents! It's a birthday miracle!
I'm over DS's man cold. He spent much of the night and today thus far rolling around moaning and the occasional whiny "I'm so sick. I'm just so siiiick."

This made me laugh out loud. Sorry, quesyrah. I'm sure it's obnoxious, but also hilarious!

This made me legit lol. Sounds like we have the same h. My h ups the ante and says stuff like that when he is sick in a low voice on the verge of actual man tears

One more whine and then I will shut up. I'm worried I might have strep. I am going to the doctor on Monday but I swear I will scream if I have to see the inside of another doctor's office that isn't for a well checkup after that.

cna I hear you. I reached my quota by feb. 15. Dh has an appt this Wednesday and I'm not looking forward to nursing him afterward. We are both just over strep nastiness. My confession is this: I'm perhaps a bit past tipsy. If I had one more glass of wine dh might have gotten lucky tonight. Unfortunately for him I didn't. I will regret this (drinking) by morning I'm sure.
