So I met this guy online and we chatted for a bit and now we're texting. His spelling and grammar is horrible. I feel like a bitch for being turned off by this. He has a 2 yr degree, we share interests, and he seems really nice.
Examples:
week instead of weak to instead of too uses U instead of you Watches doin instead of whatcha doing? He just uses a w instead of saying with or even w/ He rarely uses punctuation
Funny thing is that I haven't even talked to him in person or on the phone and I'm really doubting this over his texting style/spelling/grammar.
He also lives 1.5 hours away.
He's not my type physically.
And now I'm doubting if I even want to date at all right now. I feel like my standards are becoming ridiculously high so that no one fits them and I sabotage myself into not dating.

Eh, I am chatting with a guy who uses ur instead of you're or your and it is like nails on a chalkboard. However, I am not interested in dating him long term.
In your case, add to it that he lives a ridiculous distance and you aren't physically attracted to him. I say cut him loose. And take a break from dating if you feel you aren't ready.
I'm guessing you already knew you weren't ready to date when you decided to chat with a dude who lived that far away and you weren't attracted to....but I could be wrong

I'm so busted!
Gah. I feel like a hypocrite because a few months ago that I didn't get FWB/FB. I just need to get laid. :-(

lmfao...then go get laid! Do you have anything against ONS or FWB now? If not, then go get some, girl!
I had a two time thing with a co-worker but he went to basic this last week. We both knew it was to scratch an itch. I don't think I could just go home with a guy that I picked up in a bar.
You know when you don't care much for someone and everything they do irritates you? This kind of sounds like whats happening. Instead of dislike its disinterested. Maybe you are right, and you need a break from dating. Or then maybe you just want to not have to decode your texts. Either way, i do not think you are being a picky bitch.
