ETA: a word is on the screen as well as the mixed up letters and then you drag the letters into the right order. It makes sounds and reads the word once you're done.

Lane loves the Peekaboo kids app suite. It really just had the kids tap the screen over and over anyway He likes a couple of balloon pop games we have too. On his kindle he likes a PBS kids app that is Daniel tiger & he just clicks on crap in various rooms and it makes noises/says what the things are.

I downloaded the app "apps gone free" and try lots of different things from there. I've gotten a lot of the Toca apps for free and tons of other great ones.
Lumi Kids, Tozzle, and Sago Mini..DD is 2.5. I tend towards apps at this point that she doesnt need to listen to, since we fly a lot and if she has headphones on the baby spends the whole flight screaming if he cant yank them off her head and chew on them

DD loves the abc mouse alphabet music videos. It's free to download and you get the first few letters to start with. You earn tickets to download more videos. I started DD on this when she was 2.
