is the groupon still good? a former knottie/nestie got it done, but she hasn't posted in a long time. i'll fbook her and ask her opinion, if necessary.
My bff did her legs and underarms all through buying sesions on groupon. She had a fantastic experience and wants to do more now. She said it didn't hurt, but the most annoying thing was to stay super covered up and out of the sun.
I had my BL done. It does hurt, but it's manageable. I did mine about 6 years ago. I still have to shave, but I no longer get red, awful bumps. I could probably stand to get a few more treatments down there, but it's expensive!
I'm planning on doing it (just need to sign up for a consultation), but I'm actually planning on going to the Polyclinic (a friend of mine had his neck hair done and was really happy with the results). There's something about buying a groupon for laser that I just can't handle.

Hi, former Knottie/Nestie who VERY rarely posts anymore! Jennlin asked me to give some input. I had my bikini area and underarms done 4 years ago.
As PP stated, it does hurt some, the way they described it to me is it's like snapping a rubber band on your skin. The place I went to, they have an ice pack you hold against the skin to numb it and then they use the laser. The initial sessions hurt WAY more (and take longer) because there are so many hair follicles but after the first 3, it begins to hurt less each time and take less time.
I went every 10 weeks (due to the cycle hair grows, that's how they schedule) and I'm REALLY glad I did it. It took me a little over a year to hit the point of results I wanted. While I still have a few random sprouts, it's so few and I only have to shave the areas every so often. I wanted it done before the wedding because I wanted to not worry about the dark areas of my underarms in my strapless dress (you know how the dark hair growing under the skin shows through the skin) and I think I only shave my armpits like 1-2 times per week.
Note a couple things: A) best candidates are those with fair skin and dark hair. If you have blonde hair, it won't work; the laser goes for the pigment (which is also why lighter skin is better) and B) as hormones change your hair can begin to grow back (I understood that some clients go through this after a pregnancy or other situtiation that causes hormonal changes).
Honestly, part of me is considering doing it on my legs, but I think I'll wait a bit for that. HTH!

I'll see if I can. Things have been INSANE the last few months with a new boss. SO much more work! But I'll look into getting the app Jenn & KS mentioned to me forever ago.

i've never gotten the app cause i'm cheap and chinese. it works fine on the browser of my bb, and browser of IL's ipad.

I don't use the app either and it works just fine through my phone's browser and on the ipad.
I saw that but the reviews were HORRIBLE. DO NOT BUY IT. If it's the one I saw the other day, it has really bad yelp reviews. If it's different, it's still a good idea to look up the reviews for a place.
That said, I've had it done and love the results! But I probably would never pay full price (I bought a similar deal from another place). For me 6 treatments didn't get rid of all of it, but mostly gone and I rarely have to deal with it (pits).
