I really like light, but if have to choose I'd rather have the ability to take an easy walk after dinner vs. "rise with the sun."
I wish they'd at least push back the switches a couple more weeks on either end to make standard time shorter. My internal clock starts switching before the time change happens.
I'm always so bummed when it is time to switch the clocks back in the fall. I live for DST in the spring. I've noticed that my kids seem to follow the schedule - DS has been waking up earlier and earlier lately, so it is time to push the clocks forward so I'm not waking at 6 am. I was thrilled when they made DST start earlier and end later. I would be so upset if it was abolished altogether!

I am pretty neutral on the time change. Even with kids. But I find that our sleep/wake times vary by an hour pretty often. Everything is a phase and all. I generally embrace change as well.

I am dreading this week. My kids have trouble waking up for school anyway. My middle on in particular has a terrible time with mornings. She's already crying most mornings about school starting too early, so an extra hour earlier while we adjust is going to be awful.

I hate DST. I need to wake up before 7am and have SAD so I need sunlight in the morning. It just started getting light in the morning here in NJ and after tonight I'll going back to waking up in the dark again & miserable. I don't care if it's light in the evening. Once I'm up it makes little difference to me.
I do agree that the switching is annoying--especially when countries switch at different times. All my meetings for the next 2 weeks are messed up because I'm trying to coordinate with US (changes this week), Germany & UK (changes later this month) and Hong Kong (clocks are the same year round).

I would be pissed if we did day light savings year round. Going to work in the dark is terrible. Going to school in the dark is not good for kids either. I can tell the difference in how awake they are based on sun light.
It seems like it's dark when I take my kids to school regardless so whatever. I'd rather it be light in the evenings. I hate being woken up by the sun. Like this morning. I would have preferred to sleep in.
I really need to put our black out shades back up.
I live for DST! My mood improves enormously due to more sunlight after work. I'd love to see some studies on how the time changes correlate with seasonal affective disorder.
I am in the just pick one and stick with it camp, but I grew up in AZ so that is what I was used to.
I don't actually mind the time change, but DH has a really tough time with it. The only problem that I have (other than DH-lol) is that I can never remember what time it is in AZ when I want to call family.
Daylight saving time is awesome and I wish it was year round. Don't give a flying fuck about sunlight in the morning. What am I going to do in the morning? Put on makeup? Do my hair? Do I need sunlight for that? I'm with FIF.
DST year-round please and thanks. As I've said before, having sunlight in the morning means nothing to me. I'm getting ready for work and then I'm at work. Having sunlight in the evening when I am actually able to move about the world is much more helpful to my psyche and spirit.
See, I've always gone in to work early. I'd much rather have it light when I leave the house at 7am. I don't care about evening light. It means nothing to me.

Also my parents summer up north and it drives me nuts when we visit that the sun doesn't set until close to ten at night. How do people fall asleep? Basically I'm an old cranky woman lol.

There's about 8.5 hours between sunrise and sunset in the weeks around the winter solstice where I am. You can't really fix the fact that it's dark when you go to & leave work in the winter with so little sunlight, even with changing time to try to strike a balance.
I love it. It's so baller. Long light warm days. It's Heaven on Earth, come on. My friend was complaining big time about losing an hour which had me like:
It happens on Sunday and she has banker's hours (she actually is a banker), so what? Sleep in. Got church? Come home, take a nap. It's Sunday. Who cares about that hour? It's gone and we all get to live like a boss after that!
