I felt the same way when DS's speech therapist was finally able to get him to say his name properly. It's only 5 letters, but has a double consonant in the middle that he could never quite get. Hearing him say his name clearly was so amazing!
Awesome news. It is a great feeling. M was delayed and I know him starting preschool/daycare 3 days a week vs 1x made a huge difference in both his verbal skills and gross motor skills. It truly is a magical place :-)
DD2 was a very late talker. No words at all until well after she was 2.5. Literally within 2 months she was just talking up a storm. She's now 3.5 and just talks talks talks all the time! I look back and can't believe how far she has come.
