My BIL and his wife are coming to visit us for the weekend and I'm excited. I love them.
Scarlett already rolls her eyes at me:
Jackson loves school and riding the bus... it's been really hard on me. Why do they have to grow up? I've cried every day this week. Like ugly sobs. I cried last night at dinner because I asked if drop off went okay (they're encouraging K parents to use the drop off instead of walking them in to get used to it) and he was like, "Oh it was totally fine! I walked to my class all by myself!" (they have aides there that will walk the K kids to class if they need help).
Sort of related, but at drop off this morning, the mom helping Jackson out of the car fell down. And then, one of the other volunteers yelled, "WE HAVE A MOM DOWN! A MOM DOWN!" It was all I could do to not laugh my stupid head off.

Babycopz texted at 7:45 this morning and I about lost my shit with fear. She just wanted me to know that she broke her water bottle and would need another one.
Anyone have ideas on glass water bottles with a wide mouth? She had this
We are supposed to move into our new, shiny, pretty, upgraded apartment tomorrow. Only problem is, when H and I did a walk through last night, it was not ungraded! Now the leasing agent is giving us all kinds of shit saying that if we want an upgraded apartment, we'll have to wait to move into it and it will cost us about $150 more a month in rent. We have in writing that we are to be transferred into a fully upgraded apartment for $X/mo. It is their mistake to fix! It shouldn't cost us a penny more that what we agreed upon. We are meeting with the complex manager first thing this morning. I am about to FLIP OUT!!
I have a happy random - we are planning a trip to Prague in February! I do not care that this is my third trip there (and my first trip was actually a study abroad semester). I just love that city so much and even though it would be nice to visit new places, there is still so much left to explore there.

Copz, is the WF by campus back open yet? I know they were doing renovations for a while, so it may not be. If not, you could always make a trip to the WF by me...
I have a bunch of work to do today, but once it's done, I have THREE WHOLE DAYS IN A ROW without work. I do not remember the last time I had this long without work. Maybe March? Even when I went on my trip at the beginning of the month, I wound up working 2 of the days I was gone.
I am super excited for college football (shocker, I know)...and even more glad that J gets to sweat it out at the OSU vs. Miami game with MIL tomorrow and not me. MIL and I get along great, and if J had to work I'd happily take his place...but its going to be balls hot tomorrow and now I get to watch the game in air conditioned comfort

In writing? Sorry bout their loss and your gain
Oh yeah. An email detailing monthly price breakdowns, upgrades included, etc. I was surprised I even kept the email. I usually delete them as soon as I read them. Subconsciously I should have know something was going to be fucked up.

that is awesome. omg, I would be gleeful at rubbing it right in their face!
I have a cleaning crew coming in to do a deep clean and I am really excited. I don't even care that the house still has a few boxes around. But, now I am wondering do I tip them? Probably but I have no idea if I tip on top of the hourly fee?
I am excited that school is back in session because I love hearing about all the stuff the Madilyn is learning. I just placed a scholastic order with some Math books in it. :0)
My boss wants me to come in on Monday and I don't want to but think I should. Maybe only a 1/2 day?

Hunter started preschool this year. I'm so happy he loves it. But now he asks several times a day to go to school, but he only goes 2 mornings a week. I really love the mornings he goes because the house is soooooo quiet.
Amelia is in a phase where she enjoys talking on the "phone." She picks up random toys, holds it to her ear, tilts her head and says over and over again "haiiii, haiiii." Lots of hi-ing, but in a darling southern drawl. It is so adorable.
ECU football starts this weekend, and I'm really happy that we sold our tickets. A noon game, in 90 degree heat, in a packed stadium is not my cup of tea. We can go to the pool (last weekend it's open) and then enjoy the game in the AC.
I'm online shopping all morning and then I have 2 meetings in the PM and then 3 day weekend! DH and I already got our weekly fight out of the way so now it will be better than most weekends!!!1
He'll be 6 in October, so he is kinda on the older end of K kids. Our cut off date here is a day before his birthday, so he wasn't eligible last year. In his class, he's towards the middle as far as age - lots of redshirting here.
Copz - my SIL was like, "can I please send his picture to my ad agency for work - he should be a child model! I could be a stage aunt!" lol!
I thought it was always donated? I thought breastmilk was one of those capitalistic free zones?
Am I Wong? Clearly, yes.
Yes, you can sell it. And you can make a pretty penny off of it. There was a big umm argument on MM a while back about it. I was of the mindset that it shouldn't be sold and should only be donated. But I am biased having a sister that would have died if not for donated BM.

My dear friend gave me some of her BM when we were having issues in the beginning. It was the sweetest gesture ever.

The BM talk reminds me of when Salma Hayek nursed a starving African baby whose mother had no milk. People were so grossed out, but it still brings me to tears to think about it.
3000 oz?! Holy shit. Have you cleared this with your doctor? Doesn't this affect your supply? Who buys the milk? Adoptive parents? Women who can't/won't BF?

This! Do you have a massive over supply? That is amazing!
