I used to get Birchbox, but cancelled because I didn't feel like I got anything great.
Now I get Ipsy, which I like much better. There's always at least one thing in each bag that I really like. Plus, I like to reuse the bags themselves, too.
I subscribe to julep which is a nail polish and beauty box. I mostly use it for nail polish.
I can skip any time I want and I usually do. I only get a box or two a year. They changed the rules recently and I think you only have a certain number of skips per year but I am grandfathered in to the old rules.
Probably not the same stream, but I've been contemplating using Dollar Shave Club for razors. I'll only do it if they give a bi-monthly delivery option because I'll end up with a stock pile of razor blades!
amaranth - What I like about Ipsy is that most of them are samples but there are usually also full sized products, too. I just got my March bag and there was a full sized lipstick, a full sized eye shadow and an eye shadow brush, along with two sample sized products.

That sounds fun. I could re-gift items I wouldn't use. How much is it per month?

$10! I'll send you my referral link when I get home from work.

My hubby does this. He loves it! I've used the razors and they are so nice and the price rocks
suzv : I Googled it and I guess you have to complete an order before changing it. I think that's rather counter-intuitive. ETA: I had emailed them about it this morning and they've already got back to me. I'm impressed with that.
@opal and travelbug I keep seeing ads on FB for the shave club. What is the deal with it? Do people need that many razors? I don't change my mine very often (maybe every 6 weeks?) so I don't understand the need. Maybe I am doing it wrong though. lol.
amaranth: Depending on my laziness level and cheapness, I change blades once every 1-2 months. I figure at $6.50 CAD for 4 blades & a handle, I can afford to change it twice a month. It would definitely increase the quality of my shaves lol. BUT I'm also tempted to ask them if I can skip months so it would be every three months or something. I'm assuming the people who need their blades changed often are shaving more than 1-2 times/week (my average atm).

DH and I do this. We each have a handle, and I subscribe to 1 4-pack of blades each month. it allows us to use them without creating a major stockpile. SO much better than any other blades we've used, since they're cheap enough that I don't mind tossing the blades after like 3 uses. So I almost always have a nice clean shave.
