All evening/night I've felt like my mons pubis area is bruised. It is tender and depending on how I move it hurts like an awful bruise. I even asked H if I was black and blue. :S I have no idea what this could be, and googling is telling me round ligament pain, but I am not pregnant. I HAVE been going to the gym lately which I never did before, and have been riding the stationary bike. It's the kind with a chair style seat, though, not a bike seat, so I don't know if this could do that?
Any idea WTF this could be? It feels like I was kicked hard there. It does travel some into the groin area.
Hip flexors? Definitely sounds like the bike would cause that. Have you tried stretches to stretch your hip flexors/pelvis? You can probably find some to do online.
Definitely the bike. Do some reading on bike posture. I'm not an expert, so i cant explain it well, but you should focus on putting pressure on your sitz bones when you're on the bike to prevent this type of pain.

It sounds like pubic synthesis pain, which could be caused by muscle weakness, strenuous exercise, etc. You should check to make sure the bike seat height is adjusted correctly so you are riding with good posture and not swaying back and forth too much. If pain persists I would see a physical therapist.
Yep, it's the bike. You're talking about a recumbent bike. Do you think compassion padded shorts meant for riding would help?
Bike shorts are not going to help with a recumbent bike. I don't even think it is the cause of your pain. Signed, Someone with a recumbent bike and bike shorts.
