Our power went out just as I was going to start doing breakfast dishes. I decided not to do dishes in the dark and now I am hanging out on the couch. I hope it comes back on soon.
I am feeling discouraged with my blood sugar readings and being diagnosed with gestational diabetes and it's only five days since I started testing. I hope I can do this for 20 more weeks of my pregnancy.
I slept until 8 this morning. I can't remember the last time I slept past 6:30.
I'm having lunch with a friend I haven't seen in months, and I'm excited to catch up. Also, she has a 10 month old, and wants to lend us all the newborn gear they aren't using anymore.
I just went to get water from the door of BF's fridge and the plastic lever that you push just snapped off! Fuck fuck fuck. It must have been at the breaking point bc I didn't do anything differently, but why did it have to be ME that broke it?? He's on his way home now, I've looked up the part and a repair video, but I feel so bad
I woke up and had to plug my phone in. We have one of those multiple usb things that all of our cords get plugged into. When I plugged my phone in the kids kindles stopped charger(they both made the sound when they disconnect from the charger.) I was confused and started messing with the cables and then smelled burning electrical. I went to unplug everything and when I grabbed my iPhone the cord burned the shit out of my hand.
It's was like 7 am and my fingers just stopped hurting.
And now both H and I feel dumb for using a cable that was messed up, but we both assumed it would just stop working, since no actual wire was showing.
My parents arrive in a couple of hours. They're here as an early birthday celebration (I turn 30 on Tues).
We're all going out for a nice dinner tonight, but otherwise, no set plans. I think my mom and I might go shopping. It'll be good to see them, as I haven't seen them for a prolonged period of time since Christmas, and just quickly in early Feb.

We are at the ILs for an early Easter party. DD just helped MIL make biscuits in the shape of a bunny head using a tomato nose and twizzler whiskers. Not sure what the eyes are. Yummy
Happy Saturday! Today I have a hair appointment, wax appointment, then off to Target, grocery shopping and Costco. I plan on sitting my ass on the couch as soon as I get home.

Jealous! I need my roots done and my brows waxed.
My mom had surgery yesterday so I'll head over there in a bit to help out, grocery shop, etc.
Oh, dear God. DS has a really awful cold. I feel bad for the kid. I do. But he has been up for less than an hour and has basically been crying the entire time. I just ignored him for a few minutes and now he's off playing with a remote. He has an awful cough and his face is coated in boogers, which he doesn't want me to remove. I'm already over this day.
My DH is a champ! He got up with DS, got him showered ( which is a fucking feat with the cast & took him to the science museum. & lunch I'm using kid free time to clean out old toys while watching Netflix & pay bills!! Exciting!!

I want to go back to bed.
I'm sorry, gestational diabetes sucks. it does get slightly less annoying as you figure out what you can and can't eat to keep your blood sugar in range.
I never wake up before 8, and I kinda want to sleep longer or at least keep lounging in bed for a while. I WFH on the weekends and I'm just not interested in my day starting yet, lol.

This is James today too! I feel bad for him, but I wish he'd just want to cuddle and watch movies and not scream at me for every injustice in his world. His biggest meltdown today was when I wouldn't let him play in the liquor cabinet.

Thank you. I had it with my last pregnancy, so I know I can do it. I need to go grocery shopping and meal plan and snack plan really well, I think that will help.

I made DH get up and hold him down so I could suction his nose and get some saline in there. He seems to be in better spirits now that he can breathe. This is by far the worst illness Colin has had so far and it is no fun for any of us. I hope J starts feeling better soon.
DH was filling up the humidifier, but when he removed it from the base, it sounded like he was opening the wine fridge. It was 8:30 and I was like, "hmmm, ok!" lol DH said he wouldn't judge me if I started drinking.

I sent H to Sam's to buy diapers. H called to ask why we don't use the Sam's brand. After explaining to him why, he continued to read me the label of the Sam's diapers. He also told me they are $.18 each vs. the $.22 for Pampers. I finally said but whatever you want. It was obvious he didn't care what I had to say. If he comes home with anything other than Pampers I will send him back.

Boogie wipes are amazing.
FastHands has said that too. What makes them different than a regular wipe? We use the boogie saline mist, which is great, but he still ends up with crud all over his face, especially after sleeping all night.

The dried crud wipes off so easily and it isn't as rough in the nose. It's a wipe soaked in saline. I used them the last time I was sick. My nose barely got raw from the constant wiping.
