Yesterday at work I was lifting a very heavy crate of math books. That was fine... until I put the crate down wrong. I totally tweaked my lower left back. I'm in PAIN. Sleeping last night sucked. I was supposed to run yesterday but didn't.
I'm almost thinking about going to the doctor, but what can they do for a pulled muscle?
Also, should I report this, like what if it gets worse?
I'm pissed, I race in two weeks!! I hope with a little rest, ice, heat and alleve it will get better.
I actually tweaked my back bad on Tuesday, and am just going back for my first workout since (an easy swim, at that). After the first day I felt waaaay better, so I hope you have the same luck. Rest, heat, a massage, ice, and anti-inflammatory did the trick for me.
Gumi, how long 'til you don't feel stiff and sore?
a few days. the chiropractor helps (i always get a rib stuck in my shoulder blade, i think that's my scoliosis).
i need to stop picking up my son because these days, my back hurts more often than not. but he only just turned 3 and doesnt understand. i also like going into the steam room at the gym, it helps a lot.

You need to report it asap due to it being workers' comp related. Even if you don't need any treatment, you should file a report of injury (beyond just telling the principal or whatever) so that there's documentation of it.
