Saturday having a girls shopping day with two friends, so I'm excited about that. I need some casual weekend type stuff.
No real plans for Easter. Anyone have any ideas how to make a meal special for just two people? We usually go out but all the restaurants are charging so much for "Easter Brunch" and we just never get our money's worth, so we aren't doing that this year.

My family is coming to town for Easter! This is the one holiday we don't have to travel. My brother, SIL and niece are coming in Friday and my parents Saturday and everyone will be here (at a hotel, not my tiny apt) through Monday. I still have to figure out all of the plans, all I know so far is we're going to Easter mass at the National Cathedral.
So lots of cleaning, grocery shopping, etc this week to get ready.
wanderingenough, I agree with MrsMB's suggestion. We have done a small ham with homemade (or boxed!) scalloped potatoes and a steamed veggie. I mean, any meal can be fancy when you add enough wine If you're not a fan of ham, our fancy go-to is salmon from our local fish market.
I made homemade scalloped potatoes over the weekend for no particular reason, and they were delicious! Still eating leftovers for lunch today.
Nothing thrilling here. Just need to get through without an emotional breakdown. My hormones are crashing hardcore. And my iron too. I'm sooo cold.
luv2rn4fun enjoy Aldi. Be prepared that it's almost all their own brand of products and not normal name brands. Don't buy pasta there. It disentigrates while being cooked. Lol.
Hey MrsMB , resume question...my personal email is full first name plus maiden name. Can I use that email on a resume when my name on the resume will be nickname plus married name? Basically my email does not match the name that I go by on a daily basis. Thoughts? Does my question even make sense?
And I guess I can add "applying for a job" to what's going on this week

Easter with my family Sat and H's Sun.
My college hockey team plays in the first round of the NCAA tournament on Sat and I want to go soooo baaad but don't want to spend over $100! Hopefully I can find it on TV!
My parents are coming into town on Thursday for DD's bday. She is turning 6- holy crap!! They leave on Sunday then we will have a quiet Easter of church, egg hunt at our house and then probably a nice dinner that the kids will refuse to eat.

You know...I'm OK with it because it's not like you're using "sexydancer4U@hot.mail..." or something like that. I always tell students to use first and last name @ domain.
I'd just make sure the name you are applying under is listed in the email...like in your signature. I'll have candidates apply with their married name then email me back under their maiden with no identifying info in the body of the email...if it's a common name, it gets annoying. Like I'll have a Mary Joe Walker apply then email me back from MJDavidson@yaho.o.com . Most appliccant tracking systems have keyword searches....but ours doesn't search by email address so it gets confusing....

((Hugs)) amaranth. Thank you for the heads up RE: Aldi! I heard it's like trader Joe's, which I love! I will not be buying pasta though LOL. Hope your hormones and iron level out soon.
It's pretty mellow and the norm today to Thursday. Friday is more action packed since we're going to Good Friday service at our church (1 1/2 hr drive) then driving to DH's parents (+3 hrs). We'll have Easter dinner on Saturday with FIL since DH works on Monday. Hopefully we'll have time to go out and see Jeff's cousin and her newborn. We also probably should plan some time to go to MIL's as well.
I hope you get through breakdown free amaranth! Low iron sucks and PP hormones I'm sure don't make it better.
Is it terrible that I had no idea that Easter is this weekend? Wow, apparently I'm really out of touch.
I worked from home for a few hours this morning because there were a couple of conference calls I needed to be on. We took Gus to the vet today. My mom might stop by to visit tonight. Another crazy work week. I have a Drs appointment on Thursday, but I think I'm going to cancel it. No plans for the weekend. I'm going to enjoy the one homework free weekend that I get.
Short week for me, woohoo! 1. RE appointment today, which was not great, but at least I got to leave work at 11, and was able to take a long nap afterward 2. Stressful meetings all day at work tomorrow 3. Dinner with girlfriends Wednesday night! 4. Thursday and Friday off 5. Heading to my parents house for the weekend on Friday, seeing my sister for the first time since Xmas 6. Family and Easter stuf all weekend 7. Monday off too!
