I am craving sugar like whoa. I have been for a few weeks now, it's getting progressively worse. I know a lot of it is stress. Not sure if my apple sauce helps or hinders so I am cutting it out on days I don't run this week.
In case you don't read H&F, I ran my fast 5k yesterday. I averaged a 9:24 min/mile. The best part? Nothing hurt! It was so hot. I reached puke level several times. It took me a while to mellow when I crossed the finish line. After a bottle of water and a bit of walking I was ready for a strong bow cider. I drank a ton of water for the rest of the day. I still feel a little dry this morning.

I need running shorts/capris. My long tights (Athleta Be Free) are great, but as the weather is warming up they're becoming too hot. My last run in the 70s I was DYING.
Capris come in tall, shorts do not. But the shorts have a nice long inseam - 7".
ETA: Got the shorts. If I don't like them, well, Athleta has that whole "Give it a workout" guarantee.
Otherwise things are going...slowly. I lost my Y card, so I can't go to the gym by work (as it's not my home Y). I'm annoyed, but this means I have to do my runs outdoors, so that's good. I guess. But it also means no lifting.

I ran 5 miles on Saturday, which was my longest distance in months. It felt pretty good. My goal had been the 4 I didn't do last week, but it was only another lap to do 5. The last mile was my fastest!
I also got a massage, which was lovely. The woman is also a runner, and when I told her what was bothering me, she knew exactly what I needed.
I missed yoga yesterday because we had a kid's birthday party, but I feel like that massage counts as cross-training.
I have my hernia repair surgery on Wednesday. I'm nervous.
I have only had alcohol once, at a social function, in the last 6 weeks. I think I'm finally on the right path to limiting my alcohol, which I think was a big culprit in the weight gain I've had in the last year.
I started a bullet journal and I love it so far. It allows me to be creative and organized all in one place. I am using it to track my health goals, among my other goals/plans for this year. I have missed writing with a pen!
I keep having dreams that I can't fit into my clothes.
We've significantly cleaned up our diet. We're now on week 3 of eating at home, etc.
@ish related - I'm heading into a ~3 month cycle for egg retrievals where I won't be able to exercise for the 2ish weeks I'm on stim medication. It's really messing with my mind, thinking about that.

I ate all the French food and drank all the French wine on my ski holiday. No regrets! Didn't ski enough due to H getting hurt after 3 days (didn't want to leave him on his own), so feeling a bit 'fat'. Oh, well. I'm going to start back on running now and I'll begin to eat less. I want to lose about 10 lbs over the next 5 months (hopefully keeping most of the muscle I have).

Increasing my fat curbs my sugar cravings.
hmmmm, interesting theory. Worth trying out. It's times like these I wish I didn't despise tracking with the passion of 100 fiery suns.
I hired a personal trainer (well, he's free but looking for Guinea pigs as he starts out!) to learn new cycles and stuff for weights. It ensures I have At least 2 good weight sessions per week.
I've also been running or doing spin class 3-4x per week.
My current fitness "goal" is to do yoga once a week. I need it for my flexibility and my mental health.
I'm at 143-144lbs right now which is almost the lowest since I got married. I'm really happy with my weight loss progress. My original goal was 145, but I definitely still have weight to lose so my revised goal is 138. Either way I'm looking wayyyy better going into bikini season!!
I ran on the treadmill today because 40s is too cold for me to run outside. I have a very narrow outside running threshold. I feel like I need all the distractions when running. Music, movie, etc. I wish I could find an exercise that I actually enjoyed.
I have been in a weight loss challenge at work since the end of January I think. I am down about 15 pounds. I would love to make it to 20, but I think I have about a week left.

So, today is rainy and cold, right? Anyway, I was looking at the "minutecast" and was like "OH! There's a 30 minute break in the rain coming up! Let's get a quick run in."
It started raining the last 5 minutes. LYING LIAR WHO LIES.

damn girl - impressive gains!!
I'm just here to give my very strange AW - I've been falling down hard on the actually getting my ass in gear front while dealing with two sick kids, BUT, today at the dentist they took my BP and HR, and the hygienist was all, "you've been hitting the cardio, huh?" because my resting HR was only 58.
that meant nothing to me so I had to look it up:
