TLDR - I almost passed out in the middle of the vet office and had to lay down in the lobby for a solid 5-10 minutes before we could leave.
Long version - We took Gus to his first vet visit, and everything went really well. We got him microchipped, talked through all of the questions we had, got his vaccine schedule set up, learned how to properly clean his ears... We even joked with the vet when she offered to have us wait outside while she put in his microchip, because she said it was a really big needle and she understands that some people are squeamish. No way, not us! It doesn't bother us one bit!
Yeah, completely unrelated to the needle or anything else that happened during the visit, I almost passed out in the vet clinic. Like, one second I was fine and the next second I broke out in a full body sweat, my ears started ringing, and my vision started blurring.
I tried to sit down in the room to hide it, but when I got back up to walk out of the room everything went black. Next thing I knew I was laying on a bench in the waiting room.
The vet staff were very nice about the whole thing, but I could not be more embarrassed. I had to lay on the bench for close to 5 minutes and then continue sitting for another 5 minutes before I was able to get up and leave.
MrsMB - I didn't have a headache beforehand, but I definitely have one now. I feel super dehydrated so I'm trying to push fluids, and I don't feel very steady on my feet, so I'm curled up on the couch and planning to stay there for a while.
H thinks I might have had a silent migraine, based on his Dr. Google skills.

Ah, sorry! Hope you are feeling better! I've done that a couple times after donating blood -- not from the needles, from the actual loss of blood. Once, in college, I was getting off the blood mobile on campus and as soon as I stepped into the sun I fainted. I awoke to cute college guys all around me in a panic. It was mortifying! So I feel ya, sister!
Glad you are okay! That happened to me once, at church while I was altar serving, right in the middle of the concecration. It's so scary when it happens out of nowhere!
