Watched last night, it was really good! I want a waffle iron! Haha.
But it makes me sad that the people who watch him are probably not the people who need to hear it. I doubt there are a lot of trump supporters in his audience.

Among the highlights of his ensuing career at “The Daily Show, probably the most memorable for him was covering the 2008 Republican Convention in St. Paul. As his usual obnoxious correspondent, he was at risk because he could not afford to get arrested for anything — deportation loomed. So when he wandered into a restricted area and was pursued by security, he sought refuge among some veterans invited by pro-military politicians. The one who helped Mr. Oliver hide out was a female vet, Kate Norley. He was grateful, took down her email and married her three years later.
I also didn't know that they had a baby boy this past fall! Aw! (heart)

To be honest, since I live in the midwest, i never really thought about the actual logistics of building the wall. When they showed the clip of the golf course separated by the fence in TX, it was really interesting to me, plus the issue of eminent domain. Are Trump's supporters just totes fine with the amount of land that would have to be taken to build said wall?

This part really struck me - the border is YUGE. If most of that land is privately owned, that's not much of a "small govt" initiative the sieze all that land. Clearly the details are not the point here with many of his supporters, but I hope this comes up at some point in the larger conversation.

Not so much fine, as absolutely clueless I think.
This was a great segment. Should be mandatory viewing for anyone claiming to be a Drumpf supporter.
John Oliver makes me feel better about the state of our country.
I was listening to Trumpcast today and he had on a college sophomore who is the "director" of his college's pro-Trump group. The kid sounded smart enough and like he knows what he's talking about, but everything that came out was just mind bogglingly dumb. I had so many retorts for everything he said. Pieces like this sketch help me remember that there are sane people in the world.

Samantha Bee had an interesting piece on trump supporters recently. She interviewed a bunch and then had a party and invited a fact checker to refute their statements. Watching it was nuts. This one guy (pro-trump) got all defensive and really mad and started going off on how whatever he said was a joke. It was actually somewhat disturbing to watch.
