I keep having nightmares about going to the polls in 2 weeks. Generally involving batshit crazy open-carry Trump supporters.
T-minus 4 days till vacation.
If it makes you feel any better, I had the same worries when Missouri had their primary, because it was just days after those rallies went awry up in STL and Chicago. But there wasn't even anyone electioneering for him outside our polling site. Actually there was just one lone woman with a Cruz sign standing on the corner. LOL Everything went pretty peacefully and smoothly.
I just want to go crawl back in to bed and hibernate until next week. I have some kind of stomach bug making me feel very blah. I would go home but I have so much crap to do at work, including an in-house ISO audit. YAY. Our daycare is closed on Friday so I'm gonna have to take off because everyone else I know has to work Friday and can't watch my kid. And my 18 year old kitty (88 in cat years!) passed away last night at my parents' house. We got her as a kitten when I was a sophomore or junior in college. God that makes me feel old too. LOL
I've finally been converted to Team Sell the Bleeping House. We're going to start planning to move in a few years. Have some things to fix and financial things to clean up before we do.
The kittens are 5mos old next week and crazier every day. We don't let them sleep with us because no one would get any sleep, but we can hear their shenanigans from our room. Last night, it sounded like they were trying to tear down the living room blinds. They torment the dog. They torment us. They torment each other.
"Let's get kittens!" I said. "It will be fun!" I said. LOL.

I think it was the whole Lions Guard thing. Shades of Sturmabteilung.

There's a house in my 'hood that was just renovated and is on the market . Go check it out and report back for me.

Ha! If I didn't have an exam breathing down my neck I totally would.
I'm gonna be spending the weekend alone, studying, and putting together a list for all the crap we have to fix here. I admit the decision to eventually move was largely related to yet another plumbing issue. Are we going to escape that? Nope. But it finally pushed me over the edge that this house just doesn't meet our needs.

I so feel you on this. In 2012 I adopted three kittens from the same litter. I'd never had cats that got along and snuggled together so I wanted some that would grow up with each other. Then a year later a tiny kitten was found abandoned at my work. Couldn't resist and took her in. So right now I have four cats under four years old.
Their nicknames are Trouble, Chaos, Mischief, and Mayham. Collectively I call them my weapons of mass destruction.
They are adorable, but when the time comes, I'm rescuing an adult or senior cat next time.

A) These are fantastic names B) I require pictures
H: So my Kindle Fire is useless except for reading because the one app I use it for hasn't been updated (and given lack of demand, probably won't be).
Me: Okay, so you have the Kindle Fire and an old school Kindle reader?
H: Yes. Your Kindle is dead, right?
Me: Yup, need to decide if I'm buying a new one.
Me: So you have two Kindles and you are using each solely for reading?
H: Yes.
Me: So are you offering me one?
H: No.
Me: Head tilt
H: Oh, I just thought I'd keep both.
Me: Head tilt to the other side.
Me: Oh, okay....well I guess if I decide I need a new one I'll buy a third Kindle (I don't even care about it as a tablet, I'm happy with just a reader).
H: Some randomness about why he would possibly need two readers - something about battery life...utter nonsense...blah blah blah.
A few hours later he asked for my Amazon password. Low and behold...I am the proud owner of a slightly used Kindle Fire.

I am DYING to check this house out. If there's ever an open house, I'll totally be there and be that annoying neighborhood person.

Speaking of pics of kitties, look at this cutie! She's doing at appearance at a cat show here and for $50 you can do a meet-and-greet. I guess she's Instagram famous! Haha!

Speaking of kitties, my BFF's daughter asked for donations for her birthday to the cat rescue she adopted her cat from. She raised $540 + got lots of gifts of food, litter, etc. Her donation is going to spay/neuter 18 cats.
Also, I downloaded the Exploding Kittens ap. I don't want to work right now.
We're changing to a new format on our website. Before the process started I asked several questions and provided them a detailed list of what needed to be included during the switchover (and what could be deleted).
Not a single damn thing on my list was used. I'm pissed.

Oh cool, we're talking kitties? I'm here.
Our two new boys are doing great. One of them is super chill and awesome and loves tummy rubs. One is a little anxious but is adjusting fine. We're giving them play dates with the current queen of the house, and DH will fully integrate them this summer. They shed like a motherfucker, though. The carpet goes from beige to dark gray in a matter of days. They also like to rattle their closed door all night.

Steven Universe leads to ukuleles. Ukuleles lead to Hawaiian prints. Hawaiian prints lead to beach pictures. Beach pictures lead to "maybe we should go to Kona."
