Yesterday at work, one of my clients told our case manager that, if he found out it was true that his sister was molested by their father, he would leave the facility, obtain a gun, find his father, and shoot him.
Kinda creepy.
In other news, yesterday at work was kind of hell. I was supposed to meet coworker-friends for wine Wednesday, but I was at work over 2 hours late and they were gone before I left work. :N:
It's the plan that's the problem. If he'd just said that he'd want to kill the guy, then fine. If it were one of those garden-variety threats we all make, no big deal.
Because this was technically homicidal ideation with a plan, the person he told had to make attempts to warn the father and to notify police in the area where they both live.
Not that I disagree with his impulse. At least he knows that would be a bad thing to carry out. I explained that it's better, when speaking in anger, to not be so specific.
