How exactly do you expect me to get 12 hours of work done in 8 hours, when 6 of those hours have included me being in meetings with you? Moving was less tiring than yesterday at work was ^o)
And because I needed to start today with a better attitude (and I have the massive envy since I have no dancing ability at all): long but worth it
I just went outside to brush some snow off my shrubs, which are suffering mightily. Now I'm cuddled back on the couch with my dog thinking I should work before we lose power and internet. Eh.
I have a board meeting tonight and I haven't begun preparing my report. I should go it done so I feel productive and then spend the rest of the day doing my school work.
We should have gotten a snow day. School district is closed. University is closed. But noooooooo we're open.
Even my site is closed! Since I have teleworking capabilities, I'm logged on. Oh yeah, our lights keep flickering too.
DH's office closed, but he has calls all day with people on the east coast, so he has to do them all anyway from home, without his computer or notes or anything.

THIS. Oh my god, this. I have had it with work. And if I didn't work from home in my yoga pants and slippers I might actually get off my lazy ass and find a new job. I'm totally lying. You will pry my yoga pants from my cold, dead hands.
Also, refinancing my house is legitimately more work and a much bigger PITA than getting the mortgage in the first place. I do not understand this. You've run our credit, you see what we make, we pay our mortgage on time every month, we have much more equity in our house now. What more do you want mortgage company? Blood? Okay, I'll give you blood - just stop asking me why my paychecks are a few dollars off every two weeks. I don't know why and really, I don't care. It's $300 annually, not like it's going to break me.

H got his merit increase and bonus. The merit increase to his base was kinda piddly, but the bonus was good.
I just wish my company's schedule synced up with his so we could plan shit. We have things we need to determine budget for (new water heater, dental cleaning for both dogs, landscaping, etc.) and it's kinda hard to plan prioritize when I have no clue what mine is going to be. I suppose I could use last year's as a baseline...

Someone find my H a new pair of Brown dress shoes. His are old, he just got promoted, the ones he wore in this business trip are embarrassing. Only two requirements (1) Can't have that cap toe (2) Must be Ferragamo or Bruno Magli
I didn't believe them so I don't have much food at home. I'd been avoiding shopping but I did stop at the liquor store the other day so I have a fresh box of wine.

Then you're set! Lol, or if you have baking supplies, make yourself a treat. (Who am I kidding, this is you!)
Well, the heavy snow and wind finally knocked our drone out of the neighbor's tree. It was stuck up there for two months! DH wants to hop the fence to get it, but I told him to be an adult and just ask them for it.

That was my first thought this morning. "Well, I do have butter and chocolate chips."

Oh yes, yoga pants and lap cats. That is exactly why I haven't been job hunting. And now, it's until the old house sells and we don't have two mortgages. Then I'm gonna need a 20-30% salary increase to give up the yoga pants and lap cats (which would actually put me at my market rate, yoga pants are worth that much to me).
First we got the 2 hour delay call, so I was up at 5:30. Then at 6:15, we got the closed all day call. Guys couldn't figure it out 45 minutes earlier? Sheesh.
Now I'm trying to decide if I even want to take a shower. AND it's supposed to snow more Saturday and next week, too. I love it.

My sister keeps trying to recruit me to her company but not only is it not yoga pants, it is formal business dress. Suits! Dresses! Ha ha ha, hell no. And the salary will probably be less. Nope, nope, nopeity, nope.
H is all "You work all night". Yup, and I sleep until almost 8 and then hustle the kids out the door and am home in time to be on my 9am calls so I'm going to keep bitching but not doing anything about it for the time being.

My daughter's school district was shut down today so I'm thankful I got a school day. I feel like I should walk to Wahoos if they open and get tacos and margaritas to celebrate!

DH loves, loves, loves his Allen Edmonds. Says they are more comfortable than sneaks. So I'm throwing these out there.
