Why am I tired?
Also, I don't have an Easter dress but I do have an Easter fascinator. Priorities, yo. Can you wear a fascinator with jeans? Because I'm about to if I don't find something tomorrow lol.
Now let me go attempt some instagram makeup tutorial.

I woke up this morning to find that I had earned a free drink reward at Starbucks. I don't know how, since I had 2 stars earlier this week, but I'm enjoying my venti citrus green tea latte all the same.
DH was snoring so I kept shaking him, because after 3 days of 4:45 wakeups, Fridays are my day to sleep until 6:00. This man tried to tell me he wasn't snoring. This was after his alarm went off twice at 5:00 or so because he insisted he was going to the gym this morning.

I've been attempting to start each day this week with a positive/happy thought. Today is boiling down to I did actually wake up today and as far as I'm aware, I don't have cancer. And while instant coffee with a giant, stale marshmallow as a weak attempt of sweetening may tastes like ass, it does still have caffeine.
My car wouldn't start this morning--good news: we have a "spare" car at the moment since we borrowed my BILs truck to help with the move. The "spare" car has been sitting in the driveway for weeks as we try to get logistics right to take it in for entirely new brakes down to the rotors--good news: my drive to the old house to meet the contractors this morning was mostly up hill/mountain. Oh, it's raining--good news: the rain will help hide the tears.
And that's all before I deal with the shitstorm my work e-mail I sent at 10:30pm last night started--good news: we still have a bottle of Bookers we haven't moved yet I can reach.

I feel like I'm one of like 20 people in NYC who doesn't have the day off. My commute was empty and now I'm the only one in the office. Possibly the only employee in the building.

There are 5 of us in the office from my group of 13. I just moved my office to the area as the rest of my team, and it is so quiet it's creepy.
In other news, I just booked my SFO trip. I'll be out there the 11th to the 15th.
ETA: I haven't been to San Francisco in over 2 decades. What should I do with my free time? Where should I go? I won't have a car and am staying in the Tenderloin. Office is in the Financial District.
I got up early to come in for a blood draw before work. It's taking forever to call people back. I'm going to be late for work.
That was the story of my life for all the months I was doing IF treatment. I usually had to see the doctor and do blood draw and would sit there having an anxiety attack about being late for work. I hope it wasn't too bad for you.

I was ~15 min late. So not too bad. It was for IF bloodwork. LOL!

I don't think public schools should take off Good Friday.
I don't think so either. We don't take off for Holi or Purim or the number of other holidays that many Americans celebrate, so why Good Friday?
What bugs me is that my children will have to take an excused absence to attend Yom Kippur and Rosh Hashanah services if those days fall during the school week, but Good Friday is generally a day off from school, so religious Christians don't have to take the absence. It's frustrating.

My Momma is visiting. She got up at 530am, fell on my stairs, went outside to smoke a cigarette, and talked on her phone. All this before 6am. Jesus help me. If H checks into a hotel this evening, I won't blame him.
I've worked for the same financial company for over a decade. Half the bank observes the Fed holiday calendar, half follows the stock market calendar. I switched sides after DS2 and moved over to the Fed schedule and now have to work Good Friday. It's usually a slow day. Nope. My email and IMs are blowing up today. GO HOME PEOPLE. I need to get some work done and was counting on you all slacking/being on vacation today.

I had a crazy busy week in Vegas (for work) and I'm still catching up. I managed to get home late last night in spite of some awful weather and computer-related snarls for Frontier in Vegas. But I am so fucking tired, and my parents are visiting for the weekend so I can't just veg out.
My big dog missed me. He's glued to me today, and I'm so happy to see him. He's getting so old, my Sonny boy is, and so every time I travel I'm a little worried he won't be here when I get back. I've never had a dog who loves me as much as Sonny does, and the feeling is mutual.
Traveling for four days, along with starting my period (good times!) has royally messed with my digestive system. To the point that a colon cleanse doesn't exactly sound unattractive at the moment.
