I received a friend request from the mom of one of the kids at my daycare. We've never talked so I was skeptical but now that she invited me to her LuLaRoe party I see why she friend requested me. So, fill me in . . . what is it and are the clothes worth it?
I bought a few dresses when a friend first started selling. They're more muted prints which it seems impossible to find anymore. The prints are SO LOUD. Plus now the prices have been jacked up, so I vote no, not worth it.
Oh but the only dress with decently thick fabric are the ones with the pockets and zipper. But they are now trying to sell them for like $65. If I wanted to spend that, I would go to a store and get something that's not an obnoxious print.
My friend started doing it. On the off chance I can get some solid black leggings I buy them. I have two pairs. I love them. BUT BUT BUT the rep or whatever only gets what they send. so she may get only solid color purple in a batch etc.
The dresses are so unflattering and I don't really like it.

They have very soft, and very conservative (meaning no cleavage etc) clothes. They have a TON of different patterns and some are very busy or weird or ugly, but they also have plain no pattern clothes and some very pretty patterns. You cannot order from a catalog-it's whatever the consultant has on hand that is what's available. They carry sizes from xs-3xl and many different styles. They have dresses, shirts, skirts, kimonos, and leggings, as well as some kid items.
Just say no. I have 2 friends doing this on FB. I keep taking myself out of the group and they keep putting me back. They are going to get I friended if they don't watch it.
I have a couple of things I do like, but 98% is NMS.
The Julia dress is a pencil dress that you can fold under to make it a shirt or a tunic. I have two in different prints that I wear often because it is versatile. Put a cardi over it, leggings a slim belt and I feel somewhat stylish.
This is the only pic l could find on google, but it is the dress on the left and then converted into a shirt in the center. The print is a bit much for my taste, but the conversion is what I wanted to demonstrate.

WHY IS THIS NECESSARY IN LIFE? Even in like a solid grey this seems annoying as hell.

The leggings are VERY comfortable. A friend of a friend sells it, and I bought a pair of solid-colored ones. I will buy more. I can't with most of the prints, but they are not ALL horrible. They have stripes, polka dots, etc. Not everything is an insane geometric pattern.

Right? Just buy a dress and a fucking shirt. And that's a lot of fabric to have folded up under for the shirt. And is it pinned or buttoned under there or what? It's too much.
quality control on the leggings is nonexistent and they raised prices, buyer beware. It is rare two pairs of leggings in the same size are cut the same, they just do not give a flying fuck. Most of my leggings have developed holes after one wearing too.
I do like the classic tees when I can find a good solid color or a stripe that suits my taste.
I have a pair of leggings that my friend who sells it gave me, they are hideous but comfy. I wear them to clean the house/lounge in. They sell maxi skirts too which can be cute. My friend decided not to sell it anymore because they're getting too expensive so I say just hard pass. Unless you have a friend that will give you free shit. But don't pay $40 for leggings.

Yeah I think the leggings are made in factories in like three different countries.

I think it's that the shyster selling the crap can charge whatever they want.

Was your friend charging $40 for leggings? Holy shit! The lady I bought from charged $20.
