The Quentins by Maeve Binchy. Sometimes it's good, but the way she writes dialog is so jilted and unrealistic. It was something I picked out of our Little Library. I may leave it at the VR.BO house we're staying at for spring break.
The Valley of Amazement by Amy Tan. Her other books such as Joy Luck Club and Kitchen God's Wife have made me a fan of her stories and style of writing.

Still reading Murder on the Caronia. I'm hoping to finish it tomorrow. I'm also reading The Country Bunny and the Little Gold Shoes to DH -- my mother always read it over two nights, so I'm doing the same, even though it's not a terribly long book.
QOTW: I love the Sweettarts Bunnies, Chickies & Duckies, but they are hard to find. For easier to find candy, I can't get enough of Elmer's Heavenly Hash or Gold Brick Eggs. And I love the Whoppers Robin's Eggs.
I'm reading The Martian and really liking it. I'm listening to My Name is Mary Sutter by Robin Oliveira and also liking it- historical fiction story about a midwife and Civil War nurse who struggles to become a physician.
QOTW- that's like asking a parent to choose their favorite child, haha. I love all candy, but if I had to pick one it would be jelly beans, especially Starburst jelly beans this time of year. I also really like Reese's eggs and those darn Cadbury mini eggs that I find so addictive I don't usually buy them. I may snag a tiny bag from the grocery's bulk food section later today when I'm shopping.
Man, I am really sucking lately. I just CANNOT get into any of my books! I'm still reading Casino Royale. It's only 178 pages, but I've been working on it for over a week.
I posted and forgot to answer! I just started Shelter by Jung Yun. It's really good so far, though I'm only 50ish pages in.
Hershey's candy-coated eggs are my favorite, closely followed by Reese's eggs, which I just realized I forgot to buy -- ack! Guess one more grocery trip is in order.

Peeps and I like the bunnies over the chicks.
I liked Vally of Amazement but thought it felt darker than her other books. There's some serious shit.

I am ready A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness. It started off kind of slow but it's picking up and I'm enjoying it.
Just finished listening to Modern Romance and liked it. Audio books read by the author especially celebrity's are the best. I don't think I would have enjoyed it quite as much if I read it.
QOTD - Jelly Beans are my favorite - starburst and the jelly bellys. Yum.
I just finished The Forgotten Garden on audiobook, and I liked it, but I kind of felt like their was too much going on, and I figured out the mystery before what was probably supposed to be a much more dramatic reveal. I think I would have enjoyed it better if I'd been reading it instead of listening to it.
I have also made just about zero progress on The Cider House Rules.
I'm reading Yes Please, Amy Poehler's book, and really enjoying it. I think I like it better than Bossypants. Interesting stories and some real laugh out loud bits.
Candy: I agree with whoever said the Sweettart bunnies, chicks, and eggs. I also like Dove milk chocolate eggs.
I'm reading Siddhartha (Hermann Hesse) as part of my reading challenge. (I challenged myself to read more "classic" or "serious" stuff, since I usually just read romances and light mysteries.) I picked this one because I remember my father reading it and I believe it was one of his favorites. I'm having a little trouble getting into it and I really wish Dad were still around so I could find out why he liked it. Then again, it could just be like Hemmingway - he loved him, I can't stand him.
QOTW: Reese's eggs, all the way! In fact, that's all I bought this year - a six-pack to share with my mother. Wait, correction, I bought some licorice jelly beans a couple of weeks ago. They lasted about 2 days.
