I've been longing to do something different with my hair and I have an appointment on Thursday. I'm going to get some balayage already, but I'm thinking of doing a long bob. My hair grows pretty fast during the summer, so if I hate it, hopefully it won't take too long to grow back. Do you think it'd be okay?
Here are 2 photos of me- front and back. My hair is natural in the 2nd photo and it's about 2 inches shorter.
I'm thinking cuts like these, maybe an inch longer in the back.

I think these particular styles would work better for straighter hair. I think you would look super cute with a new cut, but I just don't think these are it.
I have stick straight hair and still have to work to get my hair to look like your inspirations, which I love but just a warning you will have to style it.
I never have regret when cutting, it is hair and grows back. But I have never been one to be attached to the length.
And I am totally stealing your color inspiration picture, my current base is really close to that and I love the balayage.

I almost always style my hair, so that's not an issue.
I'd start with color and keep looking at cuts for now. If you still want a new cut in a few weeks, then go for it, but the color may be all the change you need.

I say go for it. I actually have the first one pinned.
I only added the style part because a lot people think straight hair is so easy, but it isn't. It has issues in its own way.
I also love these for layered ideas, the Carrie Underwood one is my goal:

Now that I've seen you IRL, I'd say go for it. Your hair is lovely, but I think with your face, you could pull off the long angled bob. It's what I'm working on getting to right now because it's such a cute style. I wouldn't go too short in the back, at least the first time you chop some off, but I say do it!
ETA: bangs seem like a way scarier commitment to me, lol. I vote for cut, no bangs. But that's because they frighten me and I regret them each time I do them. Also, I have wavy curly hair and I can definitely play up the curls a bit and it works great with my (slightly shorter than you want) hair.

It would look pretty but it would be fighting your natural texture so much. You'd be better off with something longer and layered. I think people look best when they aren't fighting nature.

I think those styles would look great on you!
I mean, if you really wanted to be cautious, you could make sure the shortest length is one that you'd be okay with, so if you don't like it you could chop it to one length. But I think you'll be fine with the angled cut.
I think that a longer bob would look really cute on you. Do you ever straighten your hair? Or do you keep it natural? If natural, I might go more of an inverted LOB.
If anyone sees me, it is usually blown out. I WFH most days, so I don't always dry it.
