I assume yes, should I smash them before composting them? I put eggs shells in my garden all the time. Unfortunately, my FIL is impatient and he didn't fully hard boil these eggs, so they're like half runny and half firm (blech). I'm also hoping 2+ dozen eggs in my garden won't become a stink bomb.
Ugh....I can't peel all these eggs (esp since they're not fully hardboiled, and the stench already makes this pregnant lady gag).
I don't worry about animal products and just chuck it in. Our compost is covered by a chicken wire lid to keep the dog out. Never had stink or rodent issues in the past 4 years. I am pretty laissez faire with the compost, though, I don't temp it or anything, just throw stuff on one side or the other and dig around as needed when I need some compost.
Nurse Cramer had stopped speaking to Nurse Duckett, her best friend, because of her liaison with Yossarian, but still went everywhere with Nurse Duckett since Nurse Duckett was her best friend....Nurse Cramer was prepared to begin talking to Nurse Duckett again if she repented and apologized.

resurrecting this thread. I had to build a compost bin but I didn’t make a lid. I should right? There’s evidence animals are dragging things out of my compost

We used to have chicken wire on top so the dog didn't dig in it, but we don't anymore. We usually just turn it pretty well whenever we dump stuff in. I haven't noticed any animal issues. The bunnies and chipmunks prefer the nearby vegetable garden.
