Admittedly this is a random question but has anyone done boudoir pictures? I'm thinking about it - you know, before I get any older but I'm pretty nervous about it. Anyone have any thoughts/advice? TIA!
It was awkward at first, but as soon as hair and makeup where done, it was awesome. I met the photog for lunch before the shoot just to chat, so when I went in to the shoot, I was already familiar with her
I did some a few years ago for DH as a birthday present.
If you can, bring a friend if you think it'll help calm your nerves. I did the shoot along with 3 friends who were also doing their own, so we kinda got to be cheerleaders for each other while the others were getting photographed. Even if your friend isn't doing her own shoot, it might help you feel more comfortable to have someone else there. Although if you know and trust your photographer, they can also help bring you out of your shell.

I did them as my wedding gift to H. I was super nervous before hand but once I was there and got my hair and makeup done I started having a lot of fun. I always say it was a gift for both of us because I had a lot of fun and it was a great confidence booster for me.
I did mine as a wedding gift as well. I had so much fun taking them, even more fun picking out the ones to go in my book and I still love taking out the book and looking at the pictures. We did them at my house and I had my sister dog sit for me (otherwise, the dog would have been in the way) and it was kind of nice to have someone I am close to there to make me feel more comfortable.
I did them for an anniversary...and got divorced days after so XH never even saw them.I still have the book I meant to give him. They are hot. I LOVE that I did them.
Advice? Get a photographer you feel comfortable with and get your makeup done. You'll feel "overdone" but it will look awesome in pics!
I just did some on Monday! I was super nervous, as I have two kids (including a 6 month old), but it was so much fun and they turned out amazing. Do it!
I did them last year for our anniversary. It was so much fun and I'm pretty sure I like the pics more than my H.
Make sure you get a good photographer. There are more out there that suck than who are decent. Get your makeup and hair did. Bring a variety of ensembles. And wine. We had champagne at mine.
I did them earlier this year and it was so much fun. I literally only felt awkward for like a minute. My photographer was amazing and I relaxed immediately. The pictures came out so good and I was actually pretty proud of the ones that didn't get airbrushed
The price sounds fair. I had a groupon but after I saw all my pics, I ended up ordering a lot more than the groupon offer. I had two outfits, 20 images on a disk, 10 of those images airbrushed and bound in a book, and they also did my hair and makeup before the shoot.

I did them for a wedding gift as well. They did my hair and makeup and it was so much fun and they came out awesome! I ended up giving them to him a few days early because we were so stressed that there was a hurricane that was supposed to come through the day of our outside wedding so it helped to lighten the mood and cheer us up. It was a great experience and I would do it again in a heartbeat.
