We just bought a frontier - I read some posters on these boards say the pioneer's latch would crunch little boys' privates, so that sort of pushed me towards the frontier.
I went with the Frontier because it had the highest harness slots. I have a tall child, with a long torso so I need that feature to keep her harnessed the longest.

The harness slots are the same (20.5") on the current models.
is that new? I think the Pioneer slots were an inch lower before.
I did a lot of research and we went with the frontier. The pinnacle seemed too large and the pioneer didn't have the clicktight feature, so it seemed like a good middle option and we are really happy with it. At the time, the pioneer was a lower height limit, my kid is tall and I wanted this to be the last car seat we buy him.
We have one of each and I prefer the frontier for the click tight.
However- I also prefer each of them in harness mode. I've tried booster mode and it really seemed like it was hard to thread the seatbelt through. Once threaded through, it is hard to retract so that the child is secure in the seat, if that makes sense. Has anyone else experienced that?
