I should've done what Yasi did last weekend and get a hotel room while DH has his fantasy football draft here. I planned on drinking wine and locking myself in my office to perhaps get some work done (simple work, not hard work, obviously with the drinking). I've been watching tv shows in the living room instead.
One of the guys brought his kid along, and he's messing with our cat. Nothing serious, but my cat doesn't like people, and loud people and loud noise, so I can just tell she's going to be pissy all night.
*sigh*
What's going on out there, anyone else drinking? :drink:
Can you take the cat into the office and watch TV in there? I hate when kids mess with my animals.
I'm relaxing before I have to pick up my friend's kid for the evening (who likes to mess with my dog, coincidentally). I am debating bringing her back to my apartment so we can kill time on the local playground or to my friend's house so I can set her up with Barbies and have a glass of wine. Decisions, decisions ...
I might need to -- I'll keep my ears open. Sounds like the kid is occupied by something else, but I may need to quarantine us in my office. :/ Unfortunatey no TV in the office, but I can bring my laptop in at least, if need be.
I've rented The Bachelorette on Amazon. It's not even in theatres yet but they have it available to rent. And I found some almond chocolate. Goes great with my wine, lol.

Wait what!?!?! I wanna rent it! How did you do that?
I should be cleaning up the house before my parents come into town tomorrow. I honestly don't know why I give a damn how clean my house is when they're hear. For one DS will tear it up in 1 minute. Second, they will be too preoccupied with the things he can't do rather than enjoy the time that they're here with him. Which was like pulling teeth to make happen. I'm honestly terrified that my mom will try and make DS do something and traumatize him in the process. I have IL's that are overly involved and then my parents that don't want to be involved at all.
So for the rest of the night I think I will watch the Hunger Games because I decided to put together DS's kitchen last week instead and drink some pucker because that's the only alcohol we have in the house. Meanwhile DH is out at a bar with a co-worker after he said he'd help clean the house. He better be secretly getting me an anniversary card otherwise he's going to be in some deep shit tomorrow am.

We're torn between going out for crappy food here or getting pizza and a redbox movie. I'm on my phone in front of the tv since I burned out the screen on my laptop. I'm leaning towards crappy food so I can drink. We planned on hanging at the pool but it's raining and yuck outside.
I'm also trying to figure out if I can merge two patterns to make a leopard fur hoodie or if I should use the jersey draped cardy pattern with faux fur and make a fun lining to have a drapey faux fur jacket. I need to find a way to stash all my fabric since it's all over this stupid house.
Also, my helmet and harnesses shipped today. The harnesses are blue and yellow. The helmet is white with flames merging into a checkered flag. I hope this thing fits since it's bad ass. It' kevlar and flame retardant. I'm so irrationally excited. Yes, my hobbies are sewing and auto racing. Crazy mix. Lol!
Aw Ditzy that sucks. Something about parents coming over always makes me feel the need to clean up to. I hope your DH helps!
FCG - I want to see your sewing projects! I stowe my fabric stash in cardboard filing boxes from Office Depot. The ones that are meant for file folders. I fold and put them in while the boxes are vertical so that I can see everything in the box at once when I open it, vs. just folding and stacking from the bottom up. I put like-materials together, but you don't necessarily need to.

Once I get my laptop again, I'll post some pics. I made one of DH's old Notre Dame jerseys into a really cute blousey strappy tank. It's deconstructed and fun. Mav loves my fur jackets. I have black poodle fur lined in silver and gold brocade. The other is brown faux mink lined in blue and gold brocade. I've worn those to showcases with ripped jeans, NYE with a skirt and top, and grocery shopping. I'll rock anything ahywhere.
I also need to dig out the pics of my cream Irish linen hand crocheted vintage dress that I snagged for $15 at an estate sale. It's unlined and I am clueless on styling it, but it rocks. All this crap is on my damn laptop that's quite literally in pieces. DH is waiting on a screen to put in it.
