Have they tested him for any mosquito borne illnesses?
What about TB?
None of that yet. I'm pretty ticked at the ER. Both times, they just said "You're young and healthy!" and sent him home with prilosec the second time  He asked for a CT scan (because his Dr. texted him to!) and the ER doc said that it was a lot of radiation. That was his excuse.
That's scary. I'm not entirely familiar with ER practices but I would demand further testing in some form.
This is extreme but my coworker's sister just passed away from a pulmonary embolism. Her DH took her to the ER after she had an awful headache and they turned her away. She died in the car on the way home.

agree with the suggestion about mosquito borne illnesses. Lots of thoughts coming his/your way. how was the interview?
Interview was great. She's a former co-worker that is forming a new team at another company, so it was pretty informal. I didn't know her too well but she remembered me and heard from a mutual friend that I was quietly looking

Dr. Friend put him on a steroid and has some lab work out. She's thinking it may be nerve issues since his ER blood tests look fine but she did some extra anyway.
We see her most Saturday mornings at the pub for soccer, so she said if he's not feeling better by then, back to the ER. She plans to go with him if that is the case.

Glad your friend is looking into this more and listening to your DH. Are his symptoms continuous or do they come and go?? Hope you get answers/he feels better ASAP.

They come and go. He usually feels perfectly fine in the morning and feels crummy around 1-4pm ish.
I assume he mentioned the timeline of worsening symptoms through the day? I had some weird thing that presented this way (much more minor, but shortness of breath that increased as the day went on), and when I went to the dr to rule out bronchitis or pneumonia, they sent me immediately for tests (including CT) to rule out PE due to my symptoms.
I hope you are taken seriously and get answers fast.
We sat there for about two hours and his symptoms were gone by then and he was frustrated, so he decided to leave. He's staying home tomorrow while I WFH. Dr. Friend will call in a CT scan, he's going on a bland diet to rule out the issues first ER thought it was, and we'll go from there.
