I'm a long time GBCN lurker, but don't post often. I relocated to Seattle last summer and got a great recommendation for an OB/GYN from this board (Rebecca Kulgren, LOVED her - thank you!), and was hoping I might be able to get a primary care rec as well.
A little background: Early 30s, no kids, no major medical issues until I got Lyme and went undiagnosed for 8 months about 2 years ago. No full blown Lyme recurrence yet after months of antibiotic treatment. Relatively healthy at the moment but have a few things I want to explore (may or may not be Lyme related), and I need a doctor that won't look at me like I'm crazy or think I'm making it all up. Plus it's time to get myself established with a primary care.
Sorry for my first post to be a request. I plan to try and post more.
UPDATE: It took me forever to find someone that was taking new patients and/or had an appointment before July, but I got in today with Leanne Kildare at Polyclinic Ballard and she was amazing. Thanks for the rec! On a positive note, I finally found a primary care doctor. On a negative note, I have GERD. Treating with prescription heartburn meds, but she also recommended dietary changes. Examples of things to reduce or steer clear of in your diet include, high fat foods, caffeine, chocolate, onions, peppermint, carbonated beverages, alcohol, citrus and tomato products. I keep sadly singing "these are a few of my favorite things" to myself.
I see Dr. Kulgren (and maybe rec'd her) isn't she awesome? My PCP is at the Polyclinic Northgate - Dr. Sue Paik, I love her as well. I have some medical issues and chronic pain and she is so understanding.

Yes, she was great! I've been seeing the same OB/GYN since I was 17 so I was really nervous about seeing a new doctor and I liked her even more than the one I'd been seeing.
Thanks everyone for the recs! And for the understanding over the large puppy picture. Glad that was acceptable since I tried and gave up on making it smaller.
