The Shadowy Horses by Susanna Kearsley 3* I felt like this one could have been so much more developed. There were good characters there, just no depth.
The Quentins by Maeve Binchy 2*
Look Again by Lisa Scottoline 4* This was a suspenseful easy read that jump started my desire to read more now!
I'm on track for a good year. I definitely ebb and flow but actually might read a bit more in the summer, I love reading outside.

I'm a serial series reader and I've been enjoying going back and rereading some of my favorites. This month happened to be heavy on the PNR.
Snow Like Ashes - Sarah Raasch **** Shadowfever - Karen Marie Moning ***** Anything for You - Kristan Higgins **** Marianna - Susanna Kearsley ***** Full Moon Rising - Keri Arthur **** Mindless Eating: Why we eat more than we think - Brian Wansink *** Kissing Sin - Keri Arthur **** Tempting Evil - Keri Arthur **** Dangerous Games - Keri Arthur ****
I read Goodnight June by Sarah Jio and that's it. I loved it though, so much, and I even ordered a new copy of Goodnight Moon and The Runaway Bunny for my niece because of it. March was a busy month. I'm trying to read 50 books this year and am behind by 5 books. I'll be catching up soon though since things have calmed down at work.

Murder on the Mauritania -- Conrad Allen, **** Bitter End -- Rex Stout, *** Murder on the Minnesota -- Conrad Allen, *** Murder on the Caronia -- Conrad Allen, ****
I'm on track for my annual goal, which makes me feel good.
I don't know that I tend to read more in one particular season, but I do find myself reading more when I have more to do, so if I'm very busy, I get more done -- more of everything. Having nothing to do means I end up doing nothing.
The only problem with that is it does not allow you to record dates read for re-reads.
I get around that by setting my re-reads for a different edition. Hardback for first read, paper for second. Gets trickier if it's something I've read more than twice, though, and it bugs me when the cover images don't match what I actually read. But it makes me happier for record-keeping.
New Spring: The Novel - Robert Jordan Between the World and Me - Ta-Nehisi Coates The Grownup - Gillian Flynn The Eye of the World - Robert Jordan
I'm not sure if The Grownup "counts" since it's just 64 pages, but I didn't realize that when I got it on audiobook until all of a sudden it ended. Very abruptly.
I'm on track for a better year than last year, for sure! 14 books by the end of March, only 3 of which were re-reads (I think in 2015 almost half were re-reads, and I only had 9 by the end of March).
Work is less crazy in the summer, so I usually read more then.
Wonder by RJ Palacio - 3 stars. I really wanted to love this , i read it to my students and just did not get what all the hype was
Sarah's Key - 5 stars! Loved loved loved this beautiful story! I am not a huge holocaust reader but this book was different and really grasped me! I think it was the "other" story that went along with Sarah's life
The Circle 3.5 stars. I love/hated this book
The Rambers - 4 stars. Great fictional read. Really enjoyed!
The Royal We -4 stars, great , quick fun read
Wintergirls (ED related, very dark, but I liked it, although it made me feel uneasy) 3 stars

I might have to rejoin goodreads because all I'm doing lately is rereading favorites. I'm struggling to get through the second book in a series that was highly recommended to me. And while I did download and listen to Blue Lily, Lily Blue, it's been months since I've branched out and explored new audiobooks.
When I was on GR, I forced myself to listen/read to new books and authors.

I was not even aware of this!?
It came up on my library's audiobook list; I hadn't heard of it before, either.
I liked Gone Girl and Sharp Objects but not The Grownup. It started like a novel with the character setup, started to get rolling plot-wise, and then just ended. As in, I figured that I must have accidentally not downloaded all of it. Nope.
Salt to the Sea - Ruta Sepetys - 4 stars Crown of Midnight - Sarah J. Maas - 4 stars We Should All Be Feminists - Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie - 4 stars Voyager - Diana Gabaldon - 5 stars
Lawless, Matt Bondurant - 4* In Cold Blood, Truman Capote - 5* Just Take My Heart, Mary Higgins Clark - 2* Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology - 5*
I don't have seasons or times when I read more than others. I have great years with lots of books and other years it's a slow reading year.
