It's DS1's 5th birthday today! He's taking cupcakes to preschool, then going to dinner with my in-laws while DH works. We'll do presents whenever DH gets up.
Going to Florida on Wednesday, woohoo! Ready for warm weather since it's not happening here.

Pretty sure I've had food poisoning since yesterday afternoon. Damn Panda Express.
Lots of work between now and Thursday, but lots of fun prep stuff to get ready for our Florida vacation. Mani/pedi/wax (less fun) and heading out Thursday afternoon!

Nothing too exciting going on here.
Tonight is the first game for our alumni softball team - I'm not playing this year but DH is so I'll be going to the games. We went undefeated last year and I expect us to be good again There's been so much rain the last few days though I'm not sure if we'll be able to play on the field.
Not much going on, just the usual- grocery shop today, story time tomorrow, church mentor friend play date in Friday, chores on Friday, and lots of walks when it's not raining! Might check out My Gym tomorrow if I can get motivated.
Friday night is a friend's birthday party and I may go with other friends to watch some chick flick. Can't remember the name. But otherwise I need to make some plans for the week. Things are looking dismal again weather wise
Tomorrow we are signing the contract on the house!
Working Thursday and Friday. We found out this past Friday that our team is being disbanded because there is no longer the budget for us due to organizational changes so this will be our last week all together. Sucks because we all work so well together and all the other teams love us. Thankfully we all still have jobs. We're being moved to other teams in our office. So enjoying our last days together.
Other than that, just hanging with Cara and decluttering this house when I can.
Nothing out of the ordinary going on this week. We might finally be breaking out of winter-mode so hopefully we can get out for walks. I'm trying to be better about exercise (I don't need to lose weight, but I can definitely afford to tone up). I did Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred yesterday and I'm so sore. I'm embarrassed limping around at work today.
Blue Moon - I can't stand Jillian Michaels but her workouts definitely are effective.
It's finally supposed to warm up here! I'm excited but realistically it'll just mean the newly fallen snow will turn the city into a giant puddle.
The biggest thing this week is my therapy appointment. I've already mentioned it a gazillion times here since I'm nervous.
I work Friday, Saturday, & Sunday night so my weekend is pretty much a bore. BUT the Sunday shift means I can go to church in the AM so I'm happy about that.
I'm getting my hair done Thursday. Nothing too exciting, just color touch up and a trim.
We have a friend's wedding on Saturday. It's about 3 hours away, so DS is spending the night with my parents. He's stayed with the IL's three times, but this will be the first time with my parents.
- Bible study tonight - tomorrow is my birthday! - going over to my parents' for dinner Wednesday - hopefully cleaning the house - the weather is supposed to get warm and sunny on Wednesday!
Parent teacher conference tomorrow at daycare, lol. As a result, I moved my travel days to Wednesday/Thursday. Which means...very exciting news...drum roll please...I will be home on Wednesday morning to take the trash out!!! I can finally drag all of the crap out of the garage that DH fails to put out week after week after week after week. Seriously, it's been MONTHS. I feel bad complaining because he's alone dealing with the trash and getting DS out the door on Wednesday morning, but come on dude! Get rid of this junk!
ewall My H is the same way with the junk pile. He never moves it out unless I help or look over his shoulder. I'm usually gone on trash night though so it builds up here too.
Blue Moon how hard are those work outs coordination wise? Lol. I struggle with following along on fast, complicated work out videos but I need to get moving too.
suzv, my students are doing standardized testing this week too. I teach high school so the students come in regular time and take 2 hours of standardized tests, then go through the full school day immediately after on an abbreviated schedule. My last class of the day was just done. Our goes until May 4, every day- it's nuts!
amaranth, the workouts don't seem too bad coordination wise. I'm not exactly coordinated and I had no trouble following along. FYI- I found all the Jillian Michaels videos on the BEFIT YouTube channel for free. But cut yourself some slack lady, you just had a baby! Mine is 19 months and I finally felt able to address the lack of exercise now lol.

amaranth I've done a couple of the Jillian Michaels workouts. I've started 30 Day Shred a few times and never got out of level 1, lol. Not because I didn't like it but because I'm lazy and can't commit to a workout plan. I recently tried the Yoga Meltdown and I couldn't even finish it, lol. I'm soooo out of shape. I've kinda decided I'm going to start walking and biking to hopefully get me kick started again and then ease back in to a real workout. I've been wanting to go back to a trainer because I really miss it but all I hear is how hard they are. My old trainer left a while ago. I really liked her and I'm scared to try someone new!
But anyways, back to my point. The workouts are good from what I've tried. I don't think you have to be super coordinated or anything. You can modify the moves as needed too so you don't work yourself too hard too fast.
Most of my excitement for this week happened today.
I had my therapy appointment this morning. Our new flooring got delivered today. My Super Bowl sweatshirt finally showed up today, and actually fit (FOURTH try is the charm, apparently!).
We adopted Bowser six years ago tomorrow, which we call his Gotcha Day. The rest of my week is meetings and homework.
