I have been so busy at work I barely get any time to check in with you guys and I miss you all!
R is out of town this week and I spent last night curled up on my side of the bed like normal. Starfish fail.
I just realized that mother's day is only like 3 weeks out, so instead of working on house projects this weekend, I need to get cracking on a pair of socks I'm knitting for her. At least socks lend themselves to movie marathons, right?
We're getting a bare bones quote today on finishing our basement ceiling & adding lighting. I really want to pimp it out more, but this quote should be a good jumping off point for discussion (I don't think our savings account matches my vision...)
I just posted a LONG post below. I just don't care to retype it.
I missing mother's day as a girl mom this year. I'm going to drink on the beach to forget.
Where? Today?
LOL I forgot to edit. I just deleted it so it wasn't out there with all the views and no responses.
TL:DR of it was that I worked all weekend, spent my comp day monday digging through my entire house including the trash looking for W's glasses (not ever found) and then came back to work to discover my work computer was stolen and I spent all this week locked out of my account, even though it was unlocked yesterday morning - I just didn't get the email.

I posted a link to an article about "overpopulation" on my FB page, and received some truly horrifying messages about snuffing people out. Not ONE response made any reference to birth control, but TWO people mentioned killing and suicide as a strategy. I am stunned by the depths of depravity that surfaced. I had to unfriend someone who started preaching "I went to Catholic school and I know what sin is."

I saw your post this morning. I'm sorry i didn't respond there. And i'm sorry you are having such a rough time with everything on top of the rough time at work you've talked about. I hope it all gets better really soon. I do a ton of compartmentalizing in my life, separating marriage, work, friends, family, finances. I always expect one to be shitty, and that's fine, but having two or more shitty at one time feels overwhelming. I can't imagine adding a kid bucket to that.
Thanks. I had a good session with my therapist on Wednesday and I know I have severe "need to control" issues and I have a hard time compartmentalizing things sometimes, so things at home affect me at work and vice versa.
