Really good! We had a great time, but unfortunately I came back far heavier than I left, which I expected, but still stung when I stepped on the scale this morning. I'm back on track with food/eating though, so that's good!
The best part about the cruise was DH and I BOTH won spa gift certificates...totaling $350!!! We both got a hot stone massage, I got another hot stone massage, and a mani/pedi, and DH tried acupuncture for his allergies! I love spa credit!
The flooding is unreal! I'm super nervous because our FET is tomorrow and I'm on the north side of town and the office that does the transfer is inside the loop. Crossing my fingers the waters recede so we can make it.
I always over analyze everything in the 2ww! I hope it goes by quickly for you starryfish .
ETA: oneslybookworm that sounds amazing! I love spa treatments. I don't think it's possible to come back the same weight as you left from a cruise. 24 hour buffets are just too tempting.

Awesome! Which cruise/ship/ports did you go to?
We were on Norwegian's Getaway, and we went to Ocho Rios, Jamaica; George Town, Grand Cayman; Cozumel, Mexico; and Great Stirrup Cay, Bahamas! So warm...it was lovely weather!
I'm so tired. We had family in all weekend for H's grandmother's funeral. I enjoyed being able to see everyone, but we hosted a huge group and I'm exhausted.
Another beta tomorrow. Hoping it's finally negative.
Hope the 2ww goes by quickly for you starryfish oneslybookworm, when we did our cruise a few years ago, I gained 7 pounds. 7!!! GL tomorrow knx9211. Hopefully you're back to 0.
Bathroom remodel is delayed AGAIN. Our contractor couldn't get ahold of his backup tile guy yesterday and his main tile guy isn't available for another 2 weeks. I'm getting so tired of this. I put in an online request for a consultation at another RE, so hopefully I hear back from them soon. I think we'll probably take a month off to hopefully meet with them, do other appointments that I've been neglecting (dentist, dermatologist, gyno) and give my body a break from all the hormones. This will be the first time we've taken a break since starting ttc almost 2.5 years ago.
Im sitting in PARCC testing right now and losing my mind. My one student keeps asking me questions and I can't answer any of them. It's going to be a long 3 weeks. Tonight we have to finish cleaning out our cabinets since they start on the new ones tomorrow!

I'm so excited for your home study, and glad the trip was fun, oneslybookworm! I'm sure that weight will drop off - so much eating out, with salty food.
I am pooped! Love those Mondays where it's a relief to come in, to get a break from life. We ordered the new coffee table, curtains, and pillows for the family room downstairs; that couch is special order and will arrive sometime in May. We also ordered the sectional for the bonus room, because the sale ended yesterday. I hope we don't regret getting a cheap couch! We need to figure out the TV situation. They're so cheap now, but a full range mount is ridiculous, like $150-300, but it really needs to be mounted based on where the couch will go and where the tv will go. So many decisions.
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.
I am so nervous/excited for our upcoming IVF Consult. I am having some of the emotions I had when we first started TTC (like...eek! This might actually happen!) But they are way tempered by all the fears - the money, it might not work, it might work but then we miscarry, I might get no eggs from retrieval, I might get eggs but then they don't make it to blast - on and on. I'm just looking forward to talking with the RE and getting more info so I can stop driving myself crazy. Our appt. is next week and we'll be able to meet with the financial person right after so that will help a lot.
Trying to get back to the healthy eating/exercise bandwagon as well. I went to Barre yesterday and I am sore and so glad I went! I hope to keep it up.
Welcome back oneslybookworm, sorry about the work mess, it's always catch up after vacation. Your trip sounds great and I'm sure the weight will drop off quickly once you get back in routine. I need to seriously start counting calories myself, I've been putting back on some of the weight I lost even though I'm exercising like crazy.
mrsgoontz and starryfish- GL and stay safe, a remote coworker of mine is in TX and she says it's unreal!
knx9211- FX it's back to 0 tomorrow, sorry you had a tough weekend too.
It's tough to take a break but so necessary sometimes kellikans. A second opinion cannot hurt.
I meant to ask this - any tips for helping DH cope with the M/C? He's been having a REALLY hard time lately. That, combined with his grandmother's death led to a total meltdown yesterday. After his family left, he just said and cried and cried for hours. I've only seen him cry TWICE before this in the 5.5 years we've been together. I had no idea what to do for him and felt helpless. He said he's been feeling so worried lately and everything is just weighing on him. He's going to call his PCP for a referral to a therapist - I told him worst case scenario he hates it and wastes an hour of his life. I wasn't sure if there are any other resources that I should be looking into.

Are you in H town too? I didnt realize! I am in Clear lake area
I am going to be a creeper here and say my parents and oldest brother live in the clear lake area, my other brother live to the east of H. `My dad is working form home today because of the flooding mom works down on teh island so she went in. One of my brother's had schools close for his kids today. Don't know about the other one
Just got home from my weekend away and ahd so much fun but i am ready to be home. Bak to work in an hour or two.
My online grad course ended yesterday and I always have this weird feeling after classes get done like I don't know what to do with myself. I'm taking the summer off and finishing my degree in the Fall. H wants to do something fun today, but we're boring and have no good ideas. It's beautiful out here.
Question for those who've had a loss - Do you know if I can go swimming this weekend? Possible scenarios would be: 1. I keep waiting to miscarry but nothing has happened yet. 2. I do (start to) pass things naturally sometime this week. 3. I have a D&E on friday. I didn't think to ask about this earlier. We were planning on camping at a local spring this weekend and intended to go swimming. Next weekend we have our cruise.
Obviously I still haven't decided to do the D&E or not. I was supposed to schedule it with the nurse this morning but when she called I just wasn't ready. Beta from sat was 25k, which is still falling but slowing down. My spotting has small clots not, but nothing heavy. I just wish someone would tell me what to do.

knx9211, I think a therapist visit is a really good idea. It sucks to feel helpless when our partners are hurting, but I think just listening and supporting the best you can is what you can do.
I got my fert report - my one egg did not fertilize. Waiting for a call from the RE to schedule a WTF appointment.

I'm so sorry awkwardpenguin mpc, like Mushe said, the concern is when the cervix is open. I wasn't allowed to go swimming for 2 weeks after my d&c to prevent infection. I would call your doctor just to make sure it's OK.
awkwardpenguin, I am so sorry. Hopefully the RE will have some ideas for next time. knx9211, I am glad he is reaching out to someone. H and I were VERY close after our loss, and basically didn't leave each others' side for as long as possible (we were both on disability, so it was possible). It took us a while to open our shell up to everyone beyond some meals here or there. mpc, I would ask. oneslybookworm, glad you had a great trip!
I have been messaging with my case manager about what to do next cycle now that it is CD1. There is something going on with the precertification (Cigna requires it, but the office claims that when they called Cigna they didn't?), so I don't know if I can do IUI this round. If not, I will try to do another round similar to what we did this time. Hope to hear from the RE later today!
