This day can already kiss my ass. I had my day completely taken from me at work and had a series of meetings that I really needed to go to. Then, a person called in sick which means I need to figure out coverage for that.
Today is my Friday, thankfully. I'm already wanting to drink and it's not even 8am.
I think I'm about done at work. I'm dropping me off at daycare. I have an 8:15 meeting. But then I think I'm just going to work from home for a little bit and try to for a long walk.
Woke up early. Got MiMi going early. Stopped by the Tukwila lot for the Soundtransit light rail, to see how bad it was. Definitely, going to give it a try 3 days a week, while viaduct is down and WFH the other two. Tested out the work laptop last night. Had my first parent teacher conference for MiMi today. All good news. Have a meeting today. Then meeting my cousin downtown for HH.
@uwhuskygirl - I know you aren't here often. But maybe you'll see the notification when you log in. Are you coming back for HD's wedding in July?
I am super sleepy with a side order of heartburn today. Ugh. But like sotally tober, today is my Friday so that is a bonus, and tomorrow I am going to the spa and getting a massage with my mom. This is my first ever massage... so I am not sure what to expect.

So I got H to pick up whatever he could find at Walgreen's to help with morning sickness last night. They had some gingergum. It tastes a little funny at first, but appears to be really helping. I'm so happy. I ordered some tea and some other gummies on Amazon yesterday. It won't be here until Monday though. I am really looking forward to the tea. It has rave reviews. Plus I like the idea of drinking something I can look forward to since I can't have more coffee.
Today is the first evening this week I have free after work. I am really excited just to relax for a while until bkb and H get home. I am hoping my ginger gum helps enough so I can go for a run this afternoon too.
Good morning. Dinner with MIL tonight for D's birthday yesterday.
I have been having issues with my pole at home being super slippery and almost unsafe because of it. I did a little research yesterday and found that there is some sort of protective coating that the manufacturer puts on them to protect them during shipping that makes them slick. Internet said sand down with fine sand paper and WALLA!!!! my pole is not as slick. Maybe now I actually WILL start working out at home!!!!!

spa , enjoy your massage! sotally tober, :drink: :drink: :drink:
Today is the first day of a week+ that the big bosses will be out of the office. I'm hoping that things are slow enough that I can get several items off of my to-do list that have been sitting there for awhile.
I'm mailing off a b-day card to one of my closest friends who lives on the East Coast. She sent me a super sweet b-day package this year, but my funds are kinda low after paying taxes earlier this month and I can only send a card. I hope to make it up to her some time soon.

Massages are amazing! Make sure to drink lots of water afterward and you might be a little sore the next day. I sometimes even get nauseous afterwards from all the toxins released, but I also only get deep tissue massages. So sometimes in hurts, but I feel so much better afterwards. It's the hurts so good type feeling. You'll be addicted.
Thanks! karebear219, madDawg228, I am excited and a little nervous since in general I don't like people touching me, but I figure I get Korean Scrubs and just lie there naked while someone scrubs all my dead skin off so I should be fine with being massaged.
I'm toying with the idea of heading to visit family in eastern WA this weekend. I'm off at noon tomorrow, would be nice to get away for a couple nights. Hmmmm...
Get to see the fella tonight. Not sure what we're doing yet. I'm just happy to see him.
Jealous of today being your Friday & you getting a massage tomorrow, spa!! Enjoy it!

The one thing I can say about getting a massage (besides relax), is to communicate with your therapist. If it hurts or doesn't feel good, TELL THEM. They can't make anything better if you don't speak up. As a practicing massage therapist, it was the biggest thing that I told clients - tell me if it hurts, OR if it feels great! That way I know that I need to either change what I'm doing, or keep on keepin' on. Tell them where your sore spots are, what kind of pressure you like, and have an idea of what you want - do you want them to focus on your shoulders and neck? Want them to make sure they spend more time on your feet? Also, don't be afraid if they touch your butt (in fact, make sure you get naked if you're okay with that so they can work on your glutes). You'd be surprised at how sore those muscles can really be - it's a big support system of your entire body, and it can be a source for holding stress (even though you may not know it or necessarily feel it).
You're still pregnant, right? I can't remember, haha. Anyway, if you are, make sure they do your massage side-lying (they'll bolster you with pillows and stuff so you're comfy).

Back at my real job today and struggling to stay focused. James has been working weird hours and we haven't seen much of him. I miss him. Tman is going camping with the scouts for the weekend and James is working Saturday. Lame weekend for me, I guess. I mean, I can rest and relax and stuff, but really I'll just do housework and errands on my own.
You know, I do like my job. I like the work for the most part and everyone is really nice. I'm just having a struggle a little bit because I don't care about the industry. I'm use to working somewhere that I thought was doing real good - or at least on the path to that. This place, eh, I'm not so sure. I don't buy into the dietary supplements stuff so much. I'm not on my way out or anything, but I wish I felt part of something bigger. Blessed to have work - good work that is flexible.
I am on the struggle bus today. Our carbon detector started beeping at 4:30am. Every 30sec. I thought it might be a smoke alarm needing a battery so I waited till 5 thinking it would stop. H's alarm went off and he got up to deal with it only to think the res. battery was fully dead so take it out and manage not to wake up the kids.
Got a battery this morning for it only to have it keep beeping which freaked me out. read more instructions. After 7yrs the monitor will start beeping every 30 sec, that means its time to toss it and buy a new one. F YOU directions and carbon detector! I'm tired.
I attempted to go back to sleep after 5:30 knowing I had to be up at 6:30. Worst idea ever. Now I am just in this slump of exhaustion that wouldn't have been so bad if I had stayed fully awake earlier. Curse my stupid decision and the detector thing. I'm using it as target practice my next go at the range.
Thanks picksthemusic, the more info the better. Yes, I am like 23 weeks and have been having knot/back pain once in awhile a little butt pain. But I have big boobies which just got bigger so I am hoping this will help with the tension in my back. My posture is probably not the best either...
