I didn't do anything house related, except take down the kitchen curtains to wash them. (Tonight is ironing them and putting them back up. I desperately need to buy a steamer - I don't want to iron.) But otherwise, it was good. Talked to my mom for a while yesterday - I think she's coming around to the idea of moving out here at some point, which is excellent.
I think I've overdone it with yard work. My shoulder is not happy. It rained Saturday so we didn't get as much done, but I pulled a bin of dandelions and wandered some nurseries in the rain. We found out the deck should be starting this week, which is great as we noticed a major problem on there top support.
Bonus flower picture. I planted over a hundred daffodils and then 10 tulips. This is a small bundle, most are elsewhere. The tulips got nibbled by deer but all 10 came up. I'm going to do another mass planting along 30 feet of stone wall this fall and think I'll mix daffodils and tulips.
We powerwashed the house and front porch. I was going to repaint the porch railing but after my boys went to bed, I lost all motivation! Maybe one night this week.

I ordered my truck. I guess I should rephrase that - we went in and gave them all the specs (color, interior color, appearance package, long bed, etc.) and they go off and we sit there waiting thinking it'll be 8+ weeks because the blue is popular and when they return, they say "we found one! We will know Monday if you'll have it mid-May." I about barfed all over myself. I was not prepared for that lol.
I got everyone's clothes switched from winter to summer and now I have about 20 totes of crap that need moved down to the basement.
My boss still hasn't set up my computer and I'm about to just call our IT people (who he doesn't want to use because he wants to have things set up HIS way) to get it taken care of. I don't have any programs on my computer still, I don't have access TO the computer with the programs. I'm raging.
We cleaned out the garage and organized for our neighborhood garage sale next weekend. Mom and I stained our play set yesterday and it was a ton of work. We did it all except the roof, which we will need to borrow a taller ladder for at some point. It was a good weekend!

Highs and lows.
Fun dinner out Friday. But then the cat got out. She has not been back. I'm so upset. We put it on our neighborhood listserv, put up posters, walked around a million times, called animal control, humane society, etc. I'm at a loss for what to do. She was such a good cat.
We tried to have fun saturday by biking to the market and yard work, but everyone was in a bad mood about the cat.
Sunday I did my 6.2 mile part of the marathon relay. 8:50/mi pace which is pretty good considering I'm only ran 3 miles ONCE in the last year.

Please send good cat-returning thoughts.
Try putting her litter box on the porch or some tuna in a crate. I've got my fingers crossed your ornery kitty turns up.

I was just moving her little box out there because I read that! On Friday night, I put a soft box with a towel and some food in it and so far no action. I'm just so worried about her. Ugh.

If you have something that smells like you, try that in the box too.
I had a good weekend overall but I'm tired. Alcohol and I don't mix well - can't sleep. Went to a birthday dinner on Sat night and then a pub quiz on Sunday night. Fun but tiring. No house stuff done - so glad to have a break from it all.
Today I reorganised my H's office as it didn't work for either of us, and I put away all the files that had accumulated over the past month or so in a pile. I feel really good about it.

Oh! I transplanted the sedum from the garage bed to a gap in our bean bed. That's pretty much the last thing I needed to get out of there so we can dig it all up and re-do it.
I'm pretty sure I'm going to blow our state tax refund on plants this year....
DH got a lot done in the shed and I am down to 2 boxes inside to unpack. 1 is a box of DVDs I think we need to donate and 1 is office/bonus room stuff.
I also have no ordered a foyer rug (I KNOW) and now DH wants to figure out the DR rug situation so I have a couple contenders from Rugs USA. I really love one from West Elm, but it's $599 for the size we need and that's a lot to me for a jute rug.
