I just finished the chapter with the Laumonier brothers and what just happened? Did the guy get a phone call and the other two didn't know what a phone was or did Piper just vibrate/possess him and was talking to him through his head? I'm very confused. I'm thinking Piper possessed him somehow and that's why the other brother pressed the rosary against his head and made him spit up blood. Was that the possession leaving him?
I just listened to this this morning. Piper possessed one of the brothers to talk to the others. I thought of the Laumonier brothers as three parts of one entity, which seemed to help.
I wonder if the triplets is another way of M.S. beating us over the head with her 'repeating' theme. I bitched about this a little bit on GR - basically she literally repeats herself a lot in this book. Has anyone else noticed that? It was driving me a little crazy. So the triplets is another case of a literal repeat = three people who are the same. Even with the same name.
But yeah I think it was a weird magical possession of one of the triplets by Piper, and one of them is also her father?
The repeats are always in triplicate too. Three is a magickal number so there's something underneath all the repeating. I'm convinced that Gansey IS Glendower at this point though.

I did notice the triplicate repeats and then the triplets and thought that there was a connection between the two. But I didn't want to spoil that in my GR status. But either way - I GET IT MAGGIE. Stop now. LOL.
Time seems to fold around him. Think about this: it seems like he's a teenager now but how did he really go to England to live with the professor for MONTHS? By himself? It's either he's Glendower, immortal, or a duplicate somehow. And the older Gansey is the same age as Noah would have been.

Things are starting to make more sense later in the book for me (I'm about 2/3s done) but I just love having this realizations. Nothing is what it seems.

Am I close?
About Gansey? I'm not sure.
But Cabeswater is becoming clearer to me as we progress which gives me hope for Gansey.

There was no phone call, just the possession by the demon for Piper. I believe just like Adam's eye and hand were possessed and used, that this brother was used by the demon but he had no awareness that it was happening. And yes, I believe you're right about the rosary which I guess is associated with the 'demon' controlling him.
Does this chapter make more sense now that you've read some more, both about the Laumonier triplets and about the other possessions/controlling by the demon?

Ya it is starting to make more sense now that I've been getting a little more into it. I can't wait to see how it all pulls together. I also really don't want it to end.

I just finished chapter 11 and ran in here to finally be able to read this post. I have nothing to add other than I too am both nervous for Gansey and half convinced he's Glendower.
