Has anyone had one? I had a vaginal ultrasound Wednesday as a follow up to my annual and m/c. I apparently have giant collapsed cysts in my right ovary. My ObGyn will not put me on BC (Due to my high BP) to shrink the cysts. So I have a follow up ultrasound on the 18th. If nothing has shrunk or my pain increases (my side/stomach/pelvic area hurts a ton) then wants he to have surgery to drain.
How often do these things resolve themselves on their own? If you have had the surgery what does that entail? How is recovery?
I have never had surgery but I have had them on 3 different occasions and they have resolved on their own. The last one took 4 months and I was on the verge of agreeing to surgery because of the pain when it finally went away. Good luck and I hope you can avoid surgery!
Not sure if this will help but I had a ovary/tube removed when I was 16 wks pregnant. At my nt scan they found a 10cm cyst (well tumor but that sounds scary) on my ovary. I spent one night in the hospital and 2 weeks off work. Recovery wasn't that bad. I was back at Pilates 3 weeks later. I think it's normally a day surgery and a week recovery but since I was pregnant they were extra cautious.

I had surgery. It was outpatient. I had it on Tuesday and went back to work the following Monday. I felt normal by The weekend add was off the pain meds by then. I was contemplating starting IUIs and the doc wanted it removed before then.
