I'm sorry My dad is experiencing an ongoing tumor/growth of some sort and refuses to go to a doctor. I think he would rather die before being forced to go to a doctor. It's all terribly frustrating.

I'm sorry, dude Not only the numbness of your dad deal, but then trying to be one of the only people your mom can rely on?? I can't tell you digitally how big & sincere my hugs are, Smace.
Hugs. I get it. It isn't the same but I see self destructive in both of my parents that they refuse to change and it kills me. It's been a major issue for me over the past few months.

This is slightly related but I hate being the heavy on my mom. She has cancer and currently she was turned down for a clinical trial we were desperate to get into because she has a blockage in her stomach. She has been so sick and weak, throwing up, dehydrated, malnourished. The doctors have heavily encouraged us to get her to drink products lie boost and ensure because it its liquid, calories, and nutrients. She refuses. I have tried every flavor and bedpgged her to just drink like an ounce of it and swallow it like medication.
Meanwhile, she will the worst crap. Peanut mms, fried clams, chicken tenders. If she was keeping stuff down and well I would be like "go for it". But she needs to get better and eat like it matters because it does. If she can get better she can get in the trial and who knows, maybe it's the cure we are looking for.
I go to the grocery store and try to think of really yummy stuff that would easy to tolerate. Lemon chicken, salmon topped with crab, puddings, mango sorbet. It all just sits there until I throw it away. Even my dad is going to McDonald's like all the time meanwhile he could have tried my fancy grilled chicken and had a decent meal.
It's really frustrating, you want them to fight but arguing with them strains the relationship
