Boo for being sick! I'm sorry. I think I have a sinus infection. Ugh. Swim class this morning, then hopefully a touch a truck event. Last time we tried to go, we arrived 1/2 hour early and couldn't get a parking spot.
J has been telling the boys for a few months that when the weather got nice enough, he would take them fishing. It's something that XH promised to do a million times, but of course never followed through. We went and picked up fishing poles and stuff last night, and he woke them up at 5:45 this morning. They were all 3 so excited. Micah has really been struggling lately (we're on the cusp of puberty, hold me!) and he just couldn't stop smiling. I heard them asking him if me and Lexi were going too, and he told them nope, it was just the guys. I heard them making bets on who was going to catch the most fish. They left with the biggest smiles on their faces.

It's the girls party day. I woke up with great intentions of getting a million things done while they slept. And then they woke up way way earlier than usual.
FWP but I'm over vacation. We've been gone for 8 days - first to NJ and now in FL. My kids aren't sleeping, they don't love the heat, and I'm on family overload. We're going home tomorrow morning and I can't wait
Omg. My child. We've been really stressing not to poop in your undies or diaper and saying 'I have to poop'.
Sooooo this morning at 6a, I hear him talking away in his room so i went to see what he was doing. He had taken his overnight pull-up and pants off and was on his hands and knees in his bed with poop underneath him. So it was good that he didn't poop in his diaper, BUT now we have to work on coming and waking mommy up so he can go in the potty.
rjamz my kids always sleep like crap on vacation. Whyyyyyy?! It sucks.
jamaicam, remind me again how you found this board? Older DS is about 5? And little J is 2. I'm always surprised that you don't have a 4 year old, I just can't remember! Glad you are here though, obviously!!

A was 4 recently - he is an April 2012 boy!!!
Oh duh!! Sorry, for some reason I thought he was older!!
Oh no blane12!! What a start to your morning, whoops!
MH has training for a couple hours this morning and I'm going to try and get a handle on our house today. We've been so busy lately I haven't been keeping up and it shows. Maybe I'll start after coffee...
B's party is tonight. SIL just texted to say that our nephew has been sick since Tuesday. He has an ear infection, snotty nose, and no fever for 24 hours. He'll have 3 doses of antibiotics by tonight. She's asking if he should still come. I think he'd be okay. What do probies think?

I think he's fine if he has been on antibiotics that long.

I tried to sleep in, but no ear plugs are a match for the piercing screams of Ruby having a tantrum over nothing. Welcome to age two! This child is going to give me a run for my money.
We are supposed to go to a party in a few hours. I don't think we're going. I feel bad because A was excited about Chuck E Cheese. But I just had a major anxiety attack. I don't know if I can do it without H.
aubreyann that depends. Do you have tenure? Is your principal close to retirement age? I wondered the same thing a few years ago and decided to stay because there was no way to predict if my new admin would be any better and I love the staff and kids. My principal retired last year and I'm reall glad I stayed. Unless you are being targeted- that's a union issue.

I am sorry you have anxiety about it. I think it will be much easier than you are anticipating. Good luck!
We are driving to a memorial service for my great uncle, he was 94 and a great guy. He had a long and happy life but I will miss him. I hope the kids behave, that's always nerve wracking.

we're doing a giant roadtrip up to Michigan and back and stopping at different states to visit my Hs family in August and I am already dreading it. But it's for his mom's 60th and to see his sister whom we see maybe once a year, so I just have to suck it up and deal.
I am in a horrible mood this morning. I am so tired! It's raining, so DH cancelled his fishing trip and will be annoying all day. I really need a break!

Thanks. Anxiety is more that my house is a mess and I'm stuck under E while A continues to trash it. And my moms coming tomorrow. I suck at 2 kids

I love that man so much.
This brought tears to my eyes. I'm so happy for you. You and those kids deserve this happiness!
