It's raining today but that's ok. We are currently driving to the port to get on our cruise! I'll see you all in a week. Once 4pm hits the phones are turned off. It's my mom's first cruise and I can feel the excitement radiating off her lol.

Have a fabulous time @emtmissy! We will all be here missy/hating you while you are away.
Today my plans are possibly some terrible place for breakfast like ihop (what can I say, I wanna go out but I want cheap), taking R to to ped urgent care to get his ears checked, then I need to make some returns and run to trader joes.
We have tickets to the baseball game in Baltimore today - it's been raining since last night and we don't know what's going to happen with weather/delays/postponement. So we're in a limbo. It's not a huge deal for us since we're only about a hour away, but my parents are coming from 3 hours away, so don't really want to drive down just have it cancelled or to sit in the rain all day. So we're just keeping an eye on the weather and trying to decide what to do.
Heading home from Nashville. I'm hungry, but we're not stopping for another hour. All I can think about is food. I'm pretty much guaranteed to eat some junk food when we do stop.
I signed up for a half marathon in November. Should be fun, haha!
I had a blast at the bachelorette party last night! I actually ran into an old friend while we were at the bar. I've known him for about 12+ years and we kinda sorta almost dated but nothing was ever official. I haven't seen him in probably 7-8 years now? His son is already 9! Just crazy how fast time goes! I kind of expected to run into someone I knew because we were close to my hometown but I didn't expect to see him! Now to recover and drive home... lol.
Nothing crazy going on today. I've got homework to do, and possibly some shopping. I'm still undecided on actually leaving the house, though I really should. Right now I'm just hanging out on the couch with the dogs, watching Project Runway.
Apparently the guest list got out of control, and the bride is in denial. Should be an interesting wedding. I'll do everything in my power to ensure she enjoys her day, but I don't think things are going to go well.
We skipped church this morning because my throat hurt so bad I couldn't talk. Now it's feeling a lot better and I have a wine tasting party to attend. I feel guilty for skipping church then going to a party, but I can't really control how well I started to feel.
@emtmissy I missed you were going on a cruise so soon. Have a blast!
wanderingenough I like IHop Their stuffed french toast is quite yummy, but their hashbrowns leave much to be desired.
DH and I had the best day yesterday. We have been so out of sync and fighting over little things lately. Yesterday we had surprise date time in the morning, family time in the afternoon, and sexy time last night. We really connected all day.
I feel like May always sneaks up on me. Every year I think that it won't hit me like a ton of bricks again, and every year I'm wrong. My grandpa passed away four years ago on the 31st, and every stupid year I feel like I spend the whole month preparing myself to get through that day.
I just miss him so much. And I keep thinking that missing him will start getting easier, but it never does.
We had our open house today. We had two families come, both just starting the house buying process. One's parents live up the street and the other one rents two cul d sacs up. I am not getting my hopes but but maybe something will come of it!
But...we had a great time out today! First was church and then home for lunch/nap/open house prep. Then we went to Target and a new pizza place, which was delicious! Nice to get out and actually do something (we have managed church the last 5 weekends but that's usually all we do besides walks to the park or around the neighborhood)!
The wine tasting party was not good. The MLM demonstrator was SO energetic I wanted to splash some wine in her face. MLM's are the worst. I didn't realize it would be like that or I would not have gone. Also, although I'm not a wine drinker to begin with, I personally found all the selections grosser than normal.
amaranth- thanks friend! This process has been the worst. We have been on the market just over 7 months and have had somewhere around 50-60 showings. We had one offer and we denied it. In hindsight we should have tried to negotiate and accepted but the price we thought we could get her up to was still $10k off our low at the time (this was at least 2 months ago and at the start of peak selling season).
We started going to church consistently now that C only has one nap! It's great for everyone! He is never away from me so it's great for him to be around other kids and adults without me there...plus I really missed going to church!
@lapsha - OH MY GOSH. That was such a crazy episode. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. AND THAT ENDING. I KNEW IT. I'M SO HAPPY.
Me too! I also really liked Tyrion's scene. It was so sweet, a nice juxtaposition to the more unpleasant things going on.
Tyrion is so great. He's one of my favorite characters. I'm also glad to see something happening with him, because that story line has gotten really boring.
