Not like at doggy daycare, mofongo lol Like there's a dog park at this beer garden we go to with Toby and there are always groups having doggy birthday parties. Not just people with dogs, they invite their friends too!

I was thinking with a group of friends I had that were all rescue/shelter staff I could see little get togethers and stuff like that for dog birthdays. Then you got to dog kissing booths...
One of my best friends used to throw a birthday party for her dog every year. She'd invited friends and family (and their dogs) and have a cook out with food, beer, etc. It was a lot of fun. Just basically an excuse to get together with a dog-friendly cake for him and party hats. She stopped doing it when she birthed a human child lol. I miss the dog parties, though.
I would much rather go to that party than a party for a kid.
Well, yeah! Nobody WANTS to go to a kid's birthday party but the kids. Total parental sacrifice. A dog party is a party with a bunch of dogs, lol. Sounds great!

What is it called when you don't have kids, but still get invited to about 6 kids parties a year?? HUH?
I've been to a dog birthday party before. It was at a dog park with a former nestie and was lots of fun. They even had a doggie birthday cake and brought cocktails for the "humans".

So there's food and booze? I approve of pretty much any reason to drink. I've never heard of it IRL, but I kind of want to do this for Moose now. But should I do his estimated birthday or his adoption date?

Dog birthday parties sound awesome! I haven't done it before but am now considering it. I need to find this magic alcohol dog park is so I can throw a party there for my dogs and friends.

If my dogs weren't such assholes (read: if we spent more time training them not to be assholes), I'd throw a party for them! Instead I bake pupcakes and order human cake just for us. The first year we had a kid, we totally forgot the dogs birthdays until like a week or two later
