I've read that Tyrion is possibly half Targaryen himself. I have a shit memory so lp and loony can correct me i hope but from what i remember his mother was raped by the Mad King when she was first married to Tywin Lannister (see, forgot his name). Now Jamie/Cersei were born first but there is speculation that they are Lannisters but that it may have happened a second time resulting in Tyrion.
Tywin said he always suspected Tyrion was not his. Whether that's just because he is a dwarf or if he really suspects that, who knows. But I'm on the Tyrion Targaryen train. [\spoiler]
In order: Roose was biggest surprise; I didn't think it would happen so early. Farewell, Frank Underwood of Westeros (and Walda and baby Roose; we all knew that was coming).
Holy creepy undead Mountain.
LOVED the focus on how King Greyjoy died! One thing that was never explained in the books. And I don't know that we ever "saw" an Ironborn funeral? (Might have, it's just been awhile.) and Kings/Queensmoot is coming, YASS. Pine cones!
Can I have my own Brienne?
That whole scene with Jon Snow at the end was amazing. I think I knew what was coming and I still shrieked. HE LIVES.
HEY, help a girl who didn't read the books out? English por favor.
Which part? Kingsmoot? On the iron islands, the kingship doesn't pass through families. They have a Kingsmoot where the captains of the ships choose the next king. So this will possibly be the first Queensmoot if what's her face gets the nod.
So my phone died and the plug is nowhere near the bed so I'm sitting in the dark by the window because I'm not ready to stop talking about this yet. #jonsnow4eva
He's baaack! But. Is anyone else a little afraid that he won't be the same Jon?
Like what if Melissandre transferred some of her crazy into him? The lady has made some poor choices to say the least.
I did some googling and read that everyone who comes back makes a sacrifice. Lady Stoneheart for example is nothing like her former self. The white walkers etc. But Dondarrion loses memory each time. I'm hoping for that. We will be OK with missing memories.

Yes, PLEASE let it be missing memories. An evil Jon Snow would be heartbreaking. :*(
Ok. So I think Jon Snow is a Targaryen and when the Wildlings showed back up to save the day and the big guy (red head) said we'll build a pyre I was all "yaaaaasssss. He is a dragon and will not burn. Bring him back!" And then I thought Melisandre's mojo wasn't going to work, they'd attempt to burn his body and BAM! Jon Snow is risen a la Daenerys-style.
But no. This was just as good! I was literally perched forward the last 20 minutes.

Can he just lose his clothes because that would be pretty great. And maybe Tormund can join in solidarity.
Tyrion and the dragons -- OMG, every single second was just awesome, although I wanted them to follow him out and take flight instead of heading back to the shadows. When the second one looked at him and shook its neck so he could get to the collar? OMG. CGI, man. It's incredible that you can create a moment like that with CGI. NEED MORE TYRION + DRAGONS.
The High Sparrow needs to be taken down about half a dozen pegs. SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE, YO. Dude just gets creepier and creepier. And dirtier.
I covered my ears during the whole Ramsey/Walda/baby in the kennel part. At least they didn't show much of it. GoT has not lost its horrible, that's for sure. Not so long as Ramsey's around. I was not expecting Roose to be taken out of the picture just yet, either. We are certainly moving at faster-than-GRRM-speeds now, folks!
The Jon Snow moment has been covered. I put my fist triumphantly in the air and cheered. YES. BRING THIS. MORE. (I also told DH, "His hair really is magical! This is proof!")
It is continues to be ... satisfying, in a weird way? to see Melisandre so off her game. She has been so supremely confident/over-confident from the beginning, and seeing her so shaken and insecure is so well done (kudos to Carice van Houten) and changes the dynamic between her and Davvos. I like seeing him taking charge and being the one believer; and I wonder what her reaction to the risen Lord Commander is going to be.
The moments with Brienne and Sansa, brief as they were, continue to be full of wonderful moments. Sansa finding out that Arya's alive -- loved her reaction. And a big ol' WTF to Theon, who's like "I would've died to get you to the Wall ... but now I'm going to leave you instead."
Tower of Joy next week! I'm also looking forward to Arya making some more progress on her training instead of just being whacked around.
