I'm not Liubot (obvs), but I have anchors. Mine were done with a dermal punch.
It hurt. Probably the least favorite piercing I've had, and my nipples are done. It sucks because it's a multi step process: make the incision, hollow out the pocket, insert anchor, screw on tops -- none of which feel awesome.
I have two, by my collarbone, on either side. The left one's been no problem. The right rejected twice and was reinserted. It's currently acting up again, and I think I'll have them both removed. It sucks, because I love them, but I'm big on symmetry, and having one seems weird. The left never have me an issue, for the record.
They're fickle. My piercer is top notch, and I've taken good care of them. I wouldn't discourage anyone from getting them, but they're a little tricky.
Couple questions.. Are those microdermal/subdermal piercings you have in your pic? If so, did you get them done by hand or microdermal punch? How long did it take for the piercer to do them? Healing time?
TIA!
Hey! Um yes they're microdermals and they were done with a 16g O needle, not a punch. They're similar.
Each piercing took around 5 minutes with a 1 minute breather in between each one. I bled a LOT. They didn't hurt but it was unnerving because there is a loud pop noise when they insert the subdermal jewelry.
Mine are not healed yet and I got them August 2. My piercer told me 4-6 months of healing time, but if they're going to reject they will show signs in the first month. They will also look completely healed in a month. Mine are healing beautifully. They never were painful really, I had bruising for the first week.
ETA after gozf's reply *** I LOVE my dermals. Everyone heals differently. I have had my nostril done twice, bottom lip, I have a monroe and two tragus piercings and this one wasn't even close to bad in comparison. It was a joke at how hyped up you make yourself. Barely painful at all.
I would recommend the experience. Just keep them clean and cross your fingers. Some people reject, others don't. I would be upset if mine did reject. I'm lucky that they didn't.
