I wonder how soon after he got to the hospital that his stomachache went away. He may have amped up the crazy for the cameras but I would never want him teaching my kid.
I mean, is he normal IRL? It's possible he's just putting on an act for the cameras.
I was just thinking this. I mean, I suppose he could have been putting on an act for the cameras. And I honestly can't say how I would have done in prison, because you couldn't pay me enough to do something like that. What gets me is that he clearly had NO COMMON SENSE in prison, not even enough to listen to his training. Then he endangered the prison staff by covering the camera, lied about how "awesome" segregation was, and faked an illness to keep from going back to gen pop. Instead of just quitting.
If I came into a classroom and he was the teacher, I wouldn't leave my kid. He seems like he has at a minimum, zero compassion. At maximum, a mental problem.

I feel kind of bad for this dude. The worst of him was showcased and now he's famous for being an idiot. I bet he wishes he remained an undercover idiot like most people.

On a preview from the next episode he was released from the hospital after 4 hours and when he got back to his hotel room he was all about shaving, room service, and working out, so... pretty much immediately.
The producers keep asking him about his symptoms and what he has to say to people who are suspicious of the timing and were they psychosomatic. He keeps swearing it was real and that he had nothing to fear because everything was going great in his dorm.
I interacted with him a lot before he was on the show. He was always super nice, but definitely really eccentric.
I'm over-invested in this....has he always been a sub, or was he a full-time teacher who took time off for the show and now is subbing the rest of the year?
From the show it looks like he lives alone, and if he's always been a sub I'm curious if he's been able to make a good living at that alone. My H subs A LOT (almost full-time) and there is no way he could support himself on that income alone.

I don't watch the show, but a quick google search pulled up that he was also on a show called "extreme time savers", where he blended all of his food to save the time it would take to chew... So I'm gonna say good call with re-posting the job.

I had such fremdschämen watching Robert on tonight's episode. He's definitely one of those people you automatically get an "off" feeling about.
The drama between Barbra, Tami, and Maryum is crazy. And big fat LOL to Tami thinking that she isn't in everyone's business. She's a major power tripper. I can't belive she pretty much blows her cover.
This show kills me. I can't believe the lack if structure! These people are sitting around all day playing cards and watching tv. No wonder they are creating all this drama for themselves. They're bored!
And Robert is definitely a bit off, but I kind of got what he was saying. Solitary confinement did seem easy. He had a bed, a window, napped without all the noise, read, exercised and pigged out without worrying someone would steal his food. He didn't have to worry about the others and I'm sure slept better knowing he wasn't going to get jumped. I don't like that the Sargent said he got no valuable information from Robert. He did. Robert showed that there is extreme motivation for people to act out so they can receive solitary.
And Wtf to them insisting he admit he was scared? (he was) But like that's supposed to be the measure for a successful prison?
