at the lack of my exes of Facebook for my wine-induced stalking pleasure. Should I conclude that they are cooler than I or that they are all in prison? LMK.
They probably just have their privacy settings really high so you can't search for them. Do you have anyone on FB who would be friends with them? Sometimes you can find people more easily by looking through another person's friends. You just made me go search for my first bf, but all I can see is his profile and cover photo. Looks *exactly* the same as in high school - scrawny and nerdy. My other ex I see on a regular basis (still have the same group of friends from high school), so I don't need to stalk him on FB (although I do have him and his gf).
When I first got fb I stalked all of my hs crushes (I didn't have many bf's and the one serious one I had in college is crazy. Like hopefu lly medicated kind of crazy. No desire to search him). I only recently realized that when you search someone you show up in their "people you might know". Oops

Really? I didn't know that either. So if you search for someone you then are in their people you might know? I thought it just went by your friends and if you have multiple friends with the same friends they suggest them.
I'm not for positive, but a girl I used to know randomly showed up in my "people you may know" and we have nothing in common, no friends, no school, no locations. So I am assuming she searched for me,

I'm fb friends with my make out buddy from my freshman year of college. We actually became really good friends later on in college, and I have met his wife several times. I haven't seen him in almost a decade. There have been several times when his stuff comes up in my feed where I think THANK GOD nothing happened there! He's not at all attractive and his kids have terrible names.
Hehehe your "make out buddy" you are so sweet and innocent. I am not fb friends with anyone I have made out with, although I am friends with the son of one of my dads good friends who I have known since I was little. If either of us had made a move (and if he hadn't been petrified of my dad) we totally would have had awkward friend sex. A lot

Nanda, that's how I lost my virginity! Awkward childhood friend experimental sex. Then he came out a few years later. Whomp whomp. Poor teenage me had no idea. I thought I was wildly seductive.

Lol camel. We call one of my friends "straight eye for the queer guy" because all of her high school boyfriends are now gay. To be fair, it was an arts school. She's still really close with them.
hehe, I like "straight eye for the queer guy" and know a girl who should adopt it as her motto. Up till now she's said she's a gay man stuck in a woman's body, 'cause she's straight but attracted to really flamboyant men. Her biggest turn-on is a man wearing eyeliner.
