I'm chaperoning the 3rd grade trip to Plimoth Plantation today. I ALWAYS get the giggles in "living museums". I'm going to be the worst chaperone ever.
I'm off work today. I have my routine obgyn visit and an eye exam. I'm so excited for the eye visit, my vision is terrible since having Amelia. Then I'm going to spend the rest of the day on my butt doing nothing.
My DS1 actually fell asleep at dinner tonight, on the table. Wtf? He was leaning his head on his arm and I kept harassing him to sit properly at the table. And next thing he was actually asleep.
They go to bed by 7pm, sometimes 6.30, and wake up around 6-6.30, so that should be enough sleep for an almost-7 year old? Right? He sleeps like a log too, he never wakes up.
I hope there's nothing wrong with him. My kids don't fall asleep randomly like some kids do.
It's disgustingly foggy today. We had a mild winter that seems to be continuing into May. I would rather have a brutal winter that ends in March and a nice spring.
I don't think I slept last night. Xander screamed/moaned ALL night long. He would quiet for a minute, then cough and start all over again. I finally got up and went downstairs a few minutes ago since I might as well start my work day if I can't sleep. I'm going to crash of exhaustion around mid-afternoon and be non-functional.
There was a tornado in my hometown yesterday afternoon. Several homes and businesses were damaged, and some completely destroyed. The worst damage was about a tenth of a mile from my grandma's house, but thankfully she was ok and had no damage.
Also, I slept none last night. We got the babies to bed at 12:30, and at 1:15 R was screaming. As soon as I got him calmed and back to bed, M started crying. It was 3:45 when I got back in bed myself, but I was wired from being up with them and I couldn't sleep. At 5:15 they both woke up for a bottle. I'm exhausted!!
Violet peed on the toilet TWICE at daycare yesterday!! She's a crazy little baby. Two of the teachers in her room at determined to have her PT'd before she moves up to the toddler room. Fine by me! Though now I have to try and find some underpants in her size. And do they even make pull-ups that small? What the heck little baby...

I'm getting really frustrated with my team at work. No one else is really pulling their weight right now. Sure, I'm the team leader, but I'm getting really tired of the little crap falling on me. For two weeks now I've asked the team to look over our final exam so that I can enter it into this data collection program that we have to use. Has anyone done that yet? Noooooooo. But I can guarantee that people will have input WHILE the kids are taking the final and it will be too late to make changes.
Less than two weeks until I'm outta here until January. I can do it, I can do it.
EmmieB1025, I saw that and thought of you--I'm so glad your grandma is ok! We had some serious wind that freaked me out.
I watched the nugget's best friend at school be picked up for an unsupervised visit with the birth mom. Best Friend started bawling when she saw birth mom--I'm not sure why. I can't stop crying now just thinking about the whole, sad, situation.

I think my thyroid meds need adjusting, I am waking up so tired even after 8 hours of sleep. I am dragging by lunch. I started taking B vitamins and it has helped but I am so sluggish in the morning.
It never fails, I teach a training class and Elliot gets sick. Of the 10 classes I've taught since August, he's now gotten sick every time. I was so happy that he slept past 5:45 this morning, except he has a 101 fever. I can't stay home, my H had an interview he can't reschedule, so my parents are going to drive down to watch him. I just want to snuggle my poor sickie. I hate this.
I still have horrible itchy hives. My arms look much better but my legs, hips, and stomach look horrible. I think I will be heading to urgent care today.

OMG RUBY. She was being so miserable in music class and kept saying she had to go potty so I kept bringing her to the potty and then she wouldn't go. Repeat x10. Eventually she said she wanted to go potty at home so we left 20 min early and came home. Of course at home she said she didn't have to go. I think she was just playing because she didn't feel like being in the class. I feel like crying. She is so touchy and whiney and emotional.

Yay Violet!!! Rhys wears the 2t/3t undies and I tried to shrink them. They're still big but do the job when needed. The same size pull-ups are also sufficient. Not sure how little she is, but R is 20lb/29in
TrudyCampbell, ugh that is frustrating. Do you think maybe she doesn't feel good? Or could she be going through a growth spurt?
I almost hope she's sick at this point because she's been throwing a tantrum for the last 40 min. She finally peed thankfully. I really hope this isn't just standard behavior! Omg.

vthokie I'm sorry you deal with it, too. It's so frustrating. But maybe it just means we're so amazing that no one else could possible do what we do. (wishful thinking, right?)
I've somehow ended up as room parent for the remainder of this year and next. @starbound (or anyone else) my first "job" is to coordinate an in-class festival on Australia that includes food for the parents to bring in if they sign up. Suggestions on kid-friendly Australian recipes? Vegemite is already covered:)
