I just finished Descent by Tim Johnston. I thought it lagged a bit in places, but otherwise really enjoyed it and would recommend it overall.
Any suggestions on what to read next? Recently, I've read Bird Box and The Kind Worth Killing. I wouldn't mind continuing down the thriller/suspense road for awhile, but I'm open to anything.
In the Mr. Mercedes post they were talking about other Stephen King books that aren't necessarily horror. I don't believe there are any spoilers in the post.
I read The Three by Sarah Lotz last fall and it was pretty interesting.
More mystery than anything, I think was The Cuckoos Calling. It was recommended to me here and it was well worth it.

I just finished Those Girls by Chevy Stevens in 2 days, which is really fast for me. But I still think I liked her Still Missing better. I'm not a big mystery / suspense reader, but did enjoy those. I've seen good things on The Kind Worth Killing. Do you recommend it?
I really enjoyed Descent and loved The Bird Box! I hope to read The Kind Worth Killing soon, it looks promising. Maybe check out Into the Darkest Corner by Elizabeth Haynes, The Stranger by Harlen Coben, or What She Knew by Gilly Macmillen.

I just finished Alice by Christina Henry. So good and she did a really good job with referencing a lot of the characters from the original story. I'm looking forward to reading the sequel!

Yes, I do. It was a fun/suspenseful read with some good twists. Plus, I really liked the ending, which is rare for me.
