I left early to get in some good Piper time before parents night out and my trip this weekend. Yeah she's still napping. I am rocking out in the parking lot and answering work email. 2 hours to beer-o-clock.
DD is taking an epic nap after working hard during physical therapy. She did such a great job sitting (mostly supported, but was able to go 20-30 seconds unsupported). Her PT was impressed with her increased range of motion in her neck.
We had our first parent meeting with the daycare that we are going to start E in September. I think it'll be really good.
E fell asleep on the way there (she's transitioning already to 1 nap lately) and of course woke up when we got there and was all smiles for the directors. When we got home I nursed her and put her down for her nap, and she's definitely tired. But as soon as I put her down she got up and cried for about 20 minutes, until she finally went to sleep. Sigh.

I'm on the train again, this time on my way home. I'm feeling relaxed and refreshed and I'm excited to see my little man and my H too! It's still amazing to me that a year ago, I couldn't really leave him for more than 2-3 hours yet now I've been gone 30+ hours and it's no big deal. 2 year olds are awesome!

C's appointments went as expected. Hearing is fine, his speech is delayed. She thinks it's more a learning thing where he drops skills to focus on new skills. When she first observed him she was not concerned but then she asked me her various questions and he scored 9-10 months (he is almost 17 months old). She approved 6 weekly sessions and then we will reassess. Only bummer is they are 40 min away. Next up...house showing at 4-4:30!
So I have this coworker that invited me to his one year old birthday party. He hardly ever really talks to me. I am actually surprised he even thought of me as close enough to invite. I did not RSVP. I probably should have declined the invite when I got it. He just came asked me directly and I told him I am busy but thanks for the invite. It's so terribly cute how excited he is about this party. I feel slightly awkward now.
Also while I have a 19 month old she is way behind developmentally. He is all like the baby is crawling everywhere. I am not sure if I will ever want to take her to a party with other babies. That makes me sad and sound terrible. I just don't want to be comparing her since I have been avoiding it.

It is our "warrior day" today at the college (concert, fair like event). It is super loud and annoying, but it is what it is... Out of my 3 accountants, one called in; the other called me and left 5 minutes after it started because it gave her a migraine (we are really far away...like equiv of 3 city blocks from the concert). I am really annoyed at them both!
The kids school is REQUIRING a math workbook be done over summer break & turned in on first day of school. That school already has insanely high test scores so it's not like they are playing catch up. This is some bullshit if you ask me.

DD's cold came back with a vengeance after three whole snot free days. We have a million events this weekend and DH is busy so I'll be hauling her all over the countryside. I'm praying that this bout is better than the last.

MIL sent me this picture she took of DD and our dog earlier this week. Soooo sweet. It kills me that DD probably won't remember him. (He's 8 years old).
DH and I just spent an hour trying to get the head of the tick that I pulled off DS earlier out. The nurse said if we can get it all out then no need to come in but if we couldn't then to go to urgent care. Glad we were able to finally get it! DS nursed and then slept through it all surprisingly. Now we just need to watch for any redness in that area or a fever.
I'm going through all the outgrown clothing and really, it's only the bitty stuff that gets me. The bigger sizes, I don't care at all, get it out of my house.
Also, I have approximately 20 sleep sacks in all sizes. And probably 20 swaddle mes. What the hell was I thinking?
I posted all the boys stuff first, on to the girl stuff. If you're at all interested, look tonight because it's all going to the yard sale tomorrow morning.

My dog is 11-13 We have had her for 10 years. DS is now 4.5. There is totally a chance DD will love your pup for along tim.
Today was commencement day. To see the students I have worked with so closely over the past 3 years walk across the same stage I did 14 years ago to receive their degree was awesome. Some of my students I have worked with so closely received huge awards & honors.
My niece asked if I had a baby in my tummy today. She's not quite 5 so she gets a pass, but man that stung. I'm back to my pre-pregnancy weight (don't worry I'm overweight) and thought I was looking pretty good.
