Instead of doing PT at a Dr's office, look up exercises/stretches/yoga poses online. That helped me when I was in my car accident and injured the same area.

That's a good idea. I do see a chiro, who helps immensely, but I know it's only temporary.
I would also like to try yoga, but again, the time/cost issue.
i had a lot of problems/pain in that area after an accident. after it healed (the tip fractured, but there is really nothing to be done but rest it, ice it, etc.) i went to a chiro and it helped immensely.
eta: also doing some stretches at home. a lot of hip openers, child's pose, downward dog.
I do my yoga at home. I use YouTube a LOT for it and google. I also have a beginners DVD. Even light stretching helped me, like sitting down and bending to the left, the right then to the front slowly.
And light squats to just stretch out. I dunno, it helped me!

. Doesn't your chiro give you exercises? Are there muscle energy techniques he/she could teach you to correct the rotation(I'm assuming you have a rotation)? You can see a PT. and discuss treatment options and explain your financial/time constraints. Maybe they can work out a schedule that wouldn't be so demanding. I have patients tell me all the time they can't afford it and set them up with a home program to try themselves. The ultimate goal of the PT is to help you manage independently eventually.
