Personally, I swam 6 miles, then ate a lot. Did a crap ton of laundry. Rehung the curtains I washed. Steamed them, and burned myself on the steamer. And walked my mom through some computer troubles.
Yard waste drop off the City hosted, 4 soccer games for 2 kids because of spring weather in the last 2 months. Friends over for dinner
Errands (including the fabric store!), laundry, planted and transplanted some plants, weeded, DH mowed, turned on the sprinkler system, made cookies, now hanging at a neighbor's while he picks up her at the airport and kids sleep upstairs.
I went out with a friend, worked a few hours, went to a BBQ which was good for me to get of my own head for a little bit. Otherwise I had a pretty quiet, lazy, and uneventful weekend for which I was in kind of a weird funk. I'm hoping things turn around as I need to have a really productive week at work.

We had pictures taken Saturday but it was windy and chilly. Hopefully they turn out. We are going to take some more of just dd Friday. We had dinner at a friends house Saturday night. Yesterday we didn't do much. I took a long nap. So nothing too exciting. We will have family here for the next two weekends.

I took the kid to the playground Friday. The rest of the weekend was cold and wet. I made soup, picked up, laundry, and played games with the kid. Ran a few errands.

Friday and Saturday I prepared for the garden tour, and Sunday I hosted the garden tour. As usual, it was a great event. The weather was absolutely perfect this year, and I'm caling it a huge success.
Saturday we went to Lowes to get some potting soil, light bulbs for one of the ceiling fans and other random stuff, came home, dug up a few of the bamboo plants from the backyard (runners from the neighbor's yard), and put them in planters for the courtyard. We dug up all of the new shoots that we saw and pulled up runners, but I am sure we missed some. We pulled weeds and DH used the trimmer to clear out a lot of the other brush back there.
DH tried to see if he could figure out how the old owners used the well for landscape watering, but neither of us understand it. Instead we discovered a leak in our water line coming from the city water, not the well, so DH had to go back to Lowes to get supplies to fix it. We actually had no idea that there was a water line there, and never would have expected it where it was, so it is nice to know so that we don't do something stupid down the line when we landscape back there.
Sunday we spent the early part of the day at Epcot Flower & Garden Festival. We've been several times during the course of the festival, and it is interesting to see how much some of the gardens have changed/grown in the past couple of months. There is an Audubon garden with birdhouses. In the beginning, the birds were just starting to come back and nest, and yesterday there were little chirping babies looking out of some of the openings. I was disappointed to see that they let a lot of the veggies in the gardens bolt and didn't try to keep it looking nice. Especially in the bed at the entrance. I would have thought that they would have tried to keep that one a bit more pristine, since it is the first thing you see and everyone takes photos there. Besides going to see the gardens we were there for the food and drink. We ate some of our favorites from this year's booths and tried a couple of the drinks. DH had a frozed lemonade with some kind of berry moonshine. It was good, but mostly tasted like lemonade. I tried a watermelon cucumber slushie with Hendricks gin. It was very refreshing and the gin was present....it was good.
We left around 2:00, and when we got home we started looking at some of the plants in the front yard. We started weeding and trimming before we even unlocked the door and put our stuff down. We didn't spend much time out there, but it looks a lot nicer in that section of the yard. The rest of the day was a lazy movie fest.
My parents were here this weekend as they are heading to our beach house today for the month to get everything opened up.
So Saturday my mom, E, and I went to the outlets and went to a few stores (mostly b/c HA sent me a coupon and E needed some short PJs). Then we had girls lunch and headed home. DH and my dad did more organizing in the shed and DH built some more shelves for storing everything. Saturday night after dinner we checked out a couple sectionals at Basset.
Yesterday DH had to work, so E and I did breakfast with my parents, then Target, the playground, and Kroger. While E napped I brushed the dog (she's shedding her winter coat like whoah) while DH did some work in the shed. Once he moved the riding mower from the garage to the shed, we organized the garage more, so I can FINALLY PARK MY CAR IN THERE AGAIN!
In house news, I need to figure out what size rug for the family room. My foyer rug saga continues b/c once I found one I liked, it's out of stock. I'm also contemplating painting the whole front door navy (front and back) for a little bit of wow in the foyer. I am going to figure out plans for an open bench in our FR to replace the target one that's about 1million years old and to house a few scrapbooks/books that we don't want upstairs.
Fought with my h over the outdoor kitchen all weekend. The contractors messed up the dimensions. We did not realize this until after they almost completed the stonework. They made equal counter lengths instead of the dimensions we laid out so that the middle counter would be wider. They were able to fix it but the whole thing was incredibly stressful. Every time I point something out, my h makes excuses for it instead of making sure they get it right. He was home the entire time they were working and was supposed to be checking in, but he didn't. This is one of those times that my type A personality clashes with his so much that I don't even know how I haven't killed him yet.
Also, they tore up the grass while moving the sprinkler. I think they should replant the sod there. My h doesn't think this is their responsibility and said he will do it himself. Who is right here??
I had to work on Sat and Sun. Sat night went with DH and 1 of his co-workers/friends out to wings and beer But on Sunday we managed to clean the house, laundry, cut the grass, pull weeds and put down fill dirt/soil/grass seed.
We spent Saturday at the outlet mall and froze our tails off. Yesterday was spent grocery shopping and weeding. Plus, we watched the final Hunger Games. H is dying of a cold now, and I'm starting to feel it.
I think you're right @missy1. Contractor should fix that.
Friday I went to the nursery to get some more vinca since several of the ones I bought the week before died before I could plant them (nursery doesn't offer replacement for annuals, I was kinda pissed). Ended up spending another $95 bucks for some vinca, a gorgeous hisbiscus and several caladiums. I've never planted caladiums before, but for some reason I'm obsessed with their pink and green-ness. I was going to plant them in the front by our mailbox but I may put in pots on the front porch.
Saturday we went to an Eggfest- where people cook all kinds of food on the Big Green Egg grill and you walk around all day eating. It was fun.
Sunday did some yard work at our cabin. Trimming some bushes and stuff.
We spent most of Saturday with my BFF's family for her kids' birthdays- we've been friends since first grade, both ended up in the DC area as adults, and I really love that we get to still be part of each others' lives <3. It was perfect, we finally got a window of nice, sunny weather for the outside in the park party mid-day, and then we had everything back inside, kids happily playing and beers in our hands by the time the rain started up again.
Sunday DD and I were at church from 7:45 to 12:30 (due to poor scheduling on my part), and then we rushed home to get her to a birthday party for the afternoon. DH did some yard work, I played with DS, did laundry, changed sheets, and generally cleaned up the house and got ready for the week. We went to bed at about 8:30 lol, DH wasn't feeling great and I just wanted to lay in bed with a book by then.

Friday B had his taekwondo belt test. He's now a high white belt.
Saturday was spent juggling 2 loony boys, weeding, planting kale and collards, mowing the lawn, laundry, etc.
Sunday I planted beans (6 varieties), pumpkin and zucchini. Hauled out most of the patio furniture. And then we weeded thru 5 years of accumulated artwork for 2 children. All their doodles and scribbles and paintings and school art and.....My recycling bin is now full. And then I made tandoori chicken kebabs and naan for dinner. OM NOM.

You are, of course. These are things that my people-pleasing H and I would also fight about.
Nurse Cramer had stopped speaking to Nurse Duckett, her best friend, because of her liaison with Yossarian, but still went everywhere with Nurse Duckett since Nurse Duckett was her best friend....Nurse Cramer was prepared to begin talking to Nurse Duckett again if she repented and apologized.
I planted the sunflower fort, mulched some, and threw a lot of sticks in the woods. I helped DH tape extension code through the garage to power the garage door openers while we wait to get the deck building damaged wiring repaired. DS had a sleepover Saturday night so kept the kids in line.
I did not put the deck box together because it came with two rights sides. I also didn't finish clearing an area and planting rhododendrons because it turned into poison ivy city since the last time I worked on it.

sierramist03, my friends had rainy family pics that turned out amazing.
We basically drank beer, ate takeout, cleaned the house, and then I took my first mtn bike ride of the year and felt pretty good (although out of shape) by myself on Sunday. Then I spent all Sunday at rainy soccer games and buying presents for my parent's 45th anniversary, which was yesterday, because I'm so last minute.

Friday we had a picnic by the river, it was nice. Saturday the weather was bad, so we finished DD1's room and almost finished DD2's room. Both look so much better. We also started s bit in the hall & guest room. Sunday I felt gross, but rallied to go see Sound of Music with DD's mom, sister & SIL. Then I came home and barfed. I should have not gone. Ugh. I was on the couch the rest of the day.
Today I did 7 hours of voice over and editing my own voice. I'm not done and I feel like I'm going to lose my mind.

I don't "go" on the garden tour, I just sit on my deck drinking wine and offering alcohol and cheese to everyone who visits my garden.
