After being fussy at daycare all day today, I'm sort of convinced that D is hurting and it's probably teeth. My coworker (who is sort of "woo"...) suggested Hyland's Teething Tablets. Worth a shot?

I tried them on M for the first time last night. I think they helped because she was like wtf is this so that sort of stopped the MOTN crying jag and she was able to calm down. I also dosed her with ibuprofen.

I didn't realize they were considered "woo". I'm not a "woo" type (LOL!), but I use the teething and the cold tablets for my DS and I believe they work. The cold tablets work very well, but not the liquid version.
I vote woo, plus I was admittedly put off by them after they were recalled (for containing over the legal limit of belladonna, I think?) when DS1 was a baby.
I feel more comfortable just giving ibuprofen or Tylenol.

I bought and returned them after reading about this. I just wasn't willing to take the risk for woo and gave regular pain reliever instead, which worked fine for her.

We used them with DD, and I'm not sure if it was placebo or what, but they definitely helped with drool and nighttime wake-ups. Now that I've educated myself more about them, though, I'm in the woo camp.
I don't give a shit about woo or not woo. THAT SHIT WORKS. So does the homeopathic stuff I use for cold/flu. I don't care what is/isn't in it, it all works wonders.
Oh, and I did lots of research on the belladonna stuff...even if I gave the entire bottle of tablets there wouldn't be enough belladonna to be dangerous. At one point, there was no expectation that each tablet have a specific amount of belladonna. Since the recall, that expectation has been changed and now they are expected to have no more than ### amount, which is why even a whole bottle wouldn't be lethal.
